Normal development? What is normal development.
With the addition of hormones added into foods or animals of foods we eat, the normal development no longer exists.
Kids at the age of 9 or 10 are now entering puberty via the addition of hormones added into the food system. Use Google Merwen.
You know this kid so well you know he/she has or has not entered puberty?

    Beat her? Ummm, no.

Give her the same kind of treatments we give to any other Mental delusion. The therapy the guy who thinks he's Superman, the person who thinks she's a dozen personas, or the person who thinks they're an animal.

We arent reinforcing ANY of those, this one is no different. Meds, therapy/counseling until this person is comfortable with what they actually are.

What if we start pumping this girl full of hormones, and telling her she is a boy. We let her put on the elaborate costume, and one day she realizes she will never have a working penis, and thus never really be a real guy.

I believe there to be a higher suicide risk there when she finally realizes that not only is she not the guy she was told she is, she now isnt a female either...but rather stuck in some frankensteinish halfway state. Really think thats better? You are now taking away from her actual gender to put her in an inbetween which needs everyone else to play along.

Better off keeping her whole, and intact as what she is, and hoping the mind can come to accept it.

Bunch of perverted doctors who just want to know if they can, rather than if they should....and kids like this being their lab animal to test on. Disgusting.

You lie about what a poster posts, then act like a little child when pointed out. Such a pity.

That is what gender dysphoria means--"the condition of feeling one's emotional and psychological identity as male or female to be opposite to one's biological sex." In this case, you are right it is not about a boy who wants to become a girl. It's about a girl who wants to be a boy.

It's funny, we have vaired "dysphorias"...yet the only one people seem to want to have everyone endorse and play act is Gender Dysphoria. case in point, you wont see the same people who support this one lending their support to a person who believes they're a shark, or a spider.

Even when you tell them that it's "real" or "documented" and has a technical name of "Species dysphoria"....theres no perverse sexual component to it, so the same groups wont back it.

They'll simply say the person is crazy (and they are). But for some reason, other crazies get validated, and worse yet....everyone else is to play along.

This sexuality crap is getting a tad extreme at this point. It's disturbing how much impact this vocal minority seems to be having on society at large with their activist nonsense.

Thanks guys, it's always a pleasure to be remembered and well known. But I don't own a bible, I'm agnostic, and I personally don't own a gun, but my wife does. Ahhhh, I feel good.

There's a variety of reasons why an 11 year old might need to take a puberty hormone blocker.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precocious_puberty

outlines a few reasons why it's necessary in some cases. In one such instance it is necessary to do so in order to allow the body to mature to a point where the onset of puberty won't cause medical problems later in life.

And you're basing her suicide on exactly what? What makes you so certain that's what she'll do? That you think she'll kill herself is just more proof that even you think she's a head case. But imagine if she jumps over to becoming a man and when she's 25 and realizes she made a huge mistake, then what? She'll just live with it and not be suicidal?

I did, it's called preventing future medical problems when the child is older. Like reducing eventual adult height due to the bones maturing too early. Or an increased risk of breast cancer in the future.

The American College of Pediatricians is a socially conservative action group that tries to fool you into thinking they are The American Academy of Pediatricians.

If they want to be treated seriously, maybe they should start by being honest about who they really are.

"A hallmark of a profession is the provision of training, certification, and continuing education. The ACP does not none of this independently. The ACP has been around since 2002 and the AAP since 1937. Annually, the AAP spends millions on professional publications and continuing education; the ACP receipts in 2008 were less than $60,000. The AAP has over 60,000 members, the ACP about 200"

Suicide is not going to result from treating an 11 year old girl like an 11 year old girl. OTOH, it's not at all difficult to feature suicide resulting from a girl being treated like a boy.

You can't get it right if you think a girl can become a boy through surgery and chemistry.

Because psychiatrists have demonstrated so much competence in the treatment of such delusions?

Some friends of mine have a son, and between the ages of 6-8 he would run around saying he wants to be a ballerina and had a thing for unicorns. Strange for a boy indeed but we didn't say anything to him simply interested in how far it would go. He would sing songs like "Barbie Girl" and prance around . But then after that little phase he got into computers, sports, bikes and now he wants to marrry Selena Gomez . He likes Marvel Superheroes and his favorite is Spiderman. He likes to play fight ,etc. etc. All guy stuff, has not said anything about fairies and princesses or anything.

And just to think, had a progressive set of moron parents had their ways they would have been dressing him as a girl and put him on blockers right away instead of seeing how it plays out. Most likely would have ended up a very confused little boy.

    This judge is a moron.

It's not perfect for sure, butIt's all we have unfortunately. Certainly handing the guy who thinks he is Superman a cape isn't the way to go....sooner or later he's going to realize he isn't. Same with this gender BS. There will come a day when someone finally realizes that they are not really what they are masquerading to be. At such time they may also realize, depending on how far they've gone chasing the fantasy, that they are no longer even the person they once were but now stuck in some middle ground not belonging to anything.

I would imagine this is when the risk of suicide rises.

Myself , I dont think encouraging a masquerade is a healthy treatment avenue, and trying to force the public to play along with it goes way too far.

All fine reasons but I think you took my quote out of context. No one is talking about the 11 year old child facing a medical problem, this is about one thing and one thing only, transitioning.

I don't think a child should be taking any of those things until they are 18 and can make the decision legally for themselves.

I suspect you just made that part up about her wanting to kill herself, and suicide is just as prevalent after sex change therapy as it is before. No difference.

You sure about that? I'd expect the average person to be much more prone to suicide after such "therapy".

I wouldn't dispute that. The point is the treatment is completely ineffective at treating the mental disorder. .

You asked, back in post #58

And I gave a list of reasons why it might be appropriate for an 11-year-old to take one.

Now, as to the use of the hormone blocker in a child who wants to transition to the opposite gender, the introduction of secondary sex characteristics in a child experiencing gender dysphoria can magnify the problem for the child. Using a hormone blocker allows parents and doctor's to press "pause" on puberty and thus more time to evaluate the child's gender dysphoria and to determine a course of action that is best for the child, which may or may not be to transition to the gender they identify with.
