I don't even know what day of the year my local and state races are. The state website does not say when, nor does it let me find my district by zip code. It is as though they want it that way.

It seems all most people think about is the presidency, while all the other stuff happens behind the scenes.

I know quite a bit about Colorado politics, and most of it ranges from discouraging to nauseating. Hell, we don't even have "primary elections" here -- just a bunch of political party hacks who make decisions for the rest of us. It stinks to high heaven, but, yes, I know plenty about it. National politics? Oh, yes, I know plenty about that, too. Too much actually. Sometimes national politics makes me think I need a basin the size of a swimming pool to puke in....

[IMG]. Trump or Hilarity? Take your pick!

The only race I know about is the presidential race, and I don't even know where candidates really stand on the issues there. I think they are liars. I think Cruz is telling the truth, but I don't like is position on one important issue.

All I see online is the presidential front runners name calling each other. There is no real debate. And it all distracts us from the smaller races, where the only difference I see between candidates is their smiling faces and American flag in the background. I guess it goes without saying that I should look at the political party platform to get an idea what their goals actually are, since they don't state them.

what city and state do you live in, I find it immensely interesting you say you can't find voting information for your local races, you said you checked your states website, so let us know so we can go view that and likely quite easily find it, as well as your local city or villages website which likely has it all as well... but hey maybe we're wrong and the rest of america has it too easy... but yeah, tell us your city and state so we can validate these claims you're unable and the reason why is because they don't want you to...

I live in Boise, ID 83706. I don't know my district or when to vote for state primaries or general races.

    Thanks.

There is a district map, but it has no streets on it. Just the state of Idaho and borders. I could not find a zip code search.

I took my best guess at which district was mine from the map, comparing it to a second map from Google maps. I emailed my legislators about an issue and did not even get an automated response. The federal representatives send automated responses at least.

I live in a rural township that consists of 1 stoplight. The only time people tend to care about local politics around here is when the snow plows aren't rolling in the winter or the potholes get too bad.

Yes as to local elections. Not as much about state elections but those always fall in November.
