Please don't turn this into an anti-gun tirade, blame the man who killed her and then took his own life.

    This is politicalforum.com, bro....
And this is indeed what you get when it's received as normal that just about anybody can have a gun. Guns are used to shoot and kill... so.

Anyone can own a car, a knife, an axe, a bow...And trust me I can kill you with any of these...Yet guns are evil according to liberals...guns are to blame...Not the criminal that pulled the trigger.

Think it's rather obvious that to use a gun is the easiest way to kill.
Hence that's what the police/army uses, and not a knife, axe or bow.

Bit weird I have to explain this.
    Troll much?

From what I read, the shooter had apparently planned to escape but the victim's brother went after him as soon as he shot her which prevented him from fleeing. The brother is probably lucky he did not get shot as well.

I am a little surprised they did not have closer security at the meet and greet. Even though she was not super famous, that still seems to be have been an oversight.

And, as long as we do not have better controls on who is allowed to have a gun, we will not have better controls on who can buy ammo to do these things.

No it's not that would be poison, perhaps we should outlaw flypaper, numerous plants, insecticides, and puffer fish.

Sad. What a shame. Having so much going for you, only to have your life cut short at just 22 years old. Her family must be devastated.

Nope. It's the object not the person. Hence you can't buy just any weapon.

I don't see how the killer could have used poison and killed her in an easier way.

A tragic and pointless death, yes, but a "great" entertainer not so much. There are thousands of these game-show winners who disappeared without trace once the novelty wore off. If she hadn't had the media exposure that she did the poor girl would be just another nameless statistic on page 7. RIP.

Meanwhile in Orlando it's business as usual in America: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/36510272
