Just get rid of the Second Amendment and control guns for civilians like most civilized countries do.

Still wouldn't have stopped the Orlando Shooter. He wasn't on the no fly list or even the terrorist watch list. He had passed background checks--even the background checks to become an armed security guard. Just useless noise. I hope Trump does it, though. It will prove my point of being #NeverTrump because of what an idiot he is.

Ezpz........just get 2/3 of both houses to repeal the amendment, then get 3/4 of the states to ratify it.
The problem with this is that it makes re election difficult.
Then comes the hard part..... Enforcement. People on both sides will die as the world watches on the Internet as our government engages its people.
Our government would not allow police to engage rioters in Ferguson and Baltimore as their city destructed. What makes you think they will let cops engage those that refuse to comply and see this as an act of tyranny?

You do realize the NRA and Donald Trump have no direct effect on firearms laws, right ???

First a Bill must be written and introduced to the Senate and pass a vote, then Congress must vote on it.

Did Israel have a second amendment? Stop and terrorist acts?

Looks like Israel is lightening up on gun ownership.

there is no house called "Congress".

there is the Senate and there is the House of Representatives.

Both houses vote on their own bills, then work to reconcile the two.

Is it the second amendment or the NRA preventing gun regulation?

The second amendment and a Supreme Court ruling restricts our government from imposing its will upon the people.

    I think you could possibly keep your second amendment but it would require legislation relating to HOW guns are kept and stored;

I have long advocated not for banning or buybacks because I do not think that would work for America.

However if you made it that gun owners are responsible for their weapons - totally and fully responsible this would keep your second amendment rights intact but still reduce gun related violence

So what is involved in gun responsibility?

    a) tracking of weapons - you have it - it is yours and it is registered and microchipped/identified as yours
    b) Use of YOUR weapon in committing a felony makes you complicit in that felony - unless you have reported the weapon stolen
    c) Securement - lock guns away when not in use and store bullets separately

Of all of the interventions it is the last which research has shown has the most impact on reducing gun deaths

Trump is now suggesting that people have their human rights violated on the basis of mere suspicion, without the due process of law.

This is why people keep calling him a fascist.

I am disgusted with the NRA's decision to endorse this pile of filth; it proves that they don't really care that much about gun rights at all. They're just shills for the GOP. Give me the SAF or the NAGR any day.

If that's what that tweet means, then I'm glad he revealed this before the election. Now I don't have to vote for his ridiculous ass.

Don't forget due process of law, which this no fly no buy horse(*)(*)(*)(*) would entirely violate.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. And I would demand a refund from the NRA.

O god please don't attempt to pronounce on the law. You know nothing about it.

The basic indicia of due process are NOTICE and a RIGHT TO BE HEARD BEFORE penalties are engaged. No fly has NO NOTICE and NO RIGHT TO BE HEARD BEFORE. Period. End of story. Full stop. No due process of law.

Here's the thing: to fix this you would require probable cause to be in the process, along with notification and a conviction (with all that comes with that, right to counsel, to confront, etc), which would mean you could simply charge them with an actual crime instead of putting them on some bull(*)(*)(*)(*) secret squirrel list, which means you don't NEED a no fly no buy at all but simple convictions obtained by due process of law which is already in place.

I would not crow too loudly, you were enough to claim the NRA & Donald Trump can pass laws or make any direct difference as far as Gun Control Laws.

Do you think the NRA should endorse Hillary instead.... there is only two choices. He is the lesser of the evils for 2A supporters.
