Childish Dem Sit-In

Actually I have no problem with their tantrum at all. It only matters if the GOP pays any attention. It is like their Supreme Court nominee...There is a tantrum, demands, and eventually boredom....Just ignore it.

 

It's interesting.

I don't agree with those on the left who push for gun bans and confiscations. However, this kind of action by the Democrats has honestly been a long time coming. Not because it's what we need, but because the right and the Republicans have largely been silent on the issue of mass shootings aside from the fervent refusal to even talk about the 2nd amendment the minute there's a shooting. Again, I don't believe bans are what we need, but if the counterparty is going to do nothing but offer prayers and deflect, it opens the door for action like this. It makes what the Democrats are doing that much more profound because right now, whether they are right or wrong or whether you agree or not, they are the only party actually standing up and trying to do something about it.

They are the only party offering more than just their thoughts and prayers. That is going to stir up Democratic voters even more for the upcoming election.

 

They do both.

The problem is that dems lack comprehension of the word they believe cooperation means giving them everything they want while giving nothing back.

Cooperation is the LAST thing you want to do to effect major change within the system. Should blacks have cooperated with Jim Crow laws?

It takes courage when you know poliece are going to come around you with fire hoses and dogs. This takes no courage The other members are simply walking around them and voting. The morons didn't even know house rules well enough to know that this can't stop votes.

 

If we arrest them we can put them on the no fly list and then dem reps cant fly home. They can take their thumbs out of their asses and thumb home.

The problem is entirely with the sit-in. These same people got done "whining" about the shutdown, THEY caused by not passing a Republican Bill. Now they're obstructing because they don't like the bill? For those like me who understand the rules of Congress, their lies and hypocrisy does not go unnoticed.

 

Rules prohibiting the use of cameras on the floor when the House of Representatives is not in session have been in place since TV cameras were first installed in the House. All members of the House voted on these rules governing floor proceedings at the beginning of the Congress. Democrats are broadcasting the sit in.

It's absolutely hilarious from a non-American perspective. Seen it on TV and the image they showed made them look like five year olds who didn't get the candy bar they wanted.

Except that's only a hypothetical. This kind of protest is done by left-wing Democrats, exclusively. When's the last time Republicans started chanting protest slogans like this?

Well, I think it's ironic that they are doing a sit-in to take away rights, vs. the original sit-ins in the civil rights era to gain people rights.
