Yup, seems like more Putin "end of the world" statements meant to make his population think about anything other than their economy.

Lived in So Cal for over 20 years and have heard this 10 times per year, still waiting....

Also, this was predicted in April and said it was definitely going to happen within "a fortnight". Been months now, where is it?

 

I live in SoCal and know that we will have a big one in the near future. It is possible for the pressure to be released by many smaller quakes, but that would just delay a big one. No big deal. Just be prepared.

 

The last time Cascadia let loose was in 1700 and the tsunami allegedly reached Japan. It is something like 300 to 500 years between earthquakes in that zone so it could be tomorrow or a couple hundred years from now. It requires an underwater landslide and if that does not happen, it may not do much. Scientists are not in agreement on much of it.

 

The article was talking about the Cascade Subduction zone, which would really be a big one with a major tsunami and the effect would be devastating. Seattle would probably get the brunt. The quakes that were mentioned though, has more to do with the San Andreas fault line that runs the length of California. The ground is rising and falling so it seems it will blow soon. It won't be as devastating or as large, since the buildings have been built to withstand earthquakes.

The fear does exist though that one earthquake might start off other ones, and the big one is the Cascade Subduction zone. No one even knew it existed until they came across the records of an unknown tsunami in Japan, and then realized where it had come from. They found that an earthquake in the Subduction zone occurs every 300 years, and it's almost time for another one. The people along the NW coast are not prepared for it at all. The deaths might be in the tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands.

 

And when the Gov. sets up the necessary stuff for relief efforts, we see a whole new slew of scary threads and utube videos about martial law and the NWO.

I know that in 1906 there was a strong earthquake in Frisco. Is there any likelihood of a repetition of this? Or tectonic plates are now at rest?

I also read about the increasing activity of Yellowstone volcano. Also in South America has been a lot of earthquakes. One strong earthquake or volcanic explosion could trigger a cascade of various natural disasters.
