Yes. You implied very heavily that the cop couldn't tell the difference between black men.

You have failed. News story tells all. He did not have a permit for the gun, therefore it was illegal, he was another thug criminal and desvered to die. Ramsay county even said so. He was wanted by the police, and had more than 50 stand-offs with the police.

Thanks for demonstrated the stupidity of liberalism!!!

    bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

Last night I was stopped for a license plate out (well after midnight around bar closing time). Actually, only 1 of the 2 lights was out. However, I had made a quick right, then double lane change and turn back to the left. At that point the officer turned on the lights on her cruiser. I recognized this was a check-the-person-out stop, because officers are trained if a person starts making turns and changing lanes when there is a police car in the rear mirror that indicates a person trying to avoid police for some reason.

I rolled the window down and then kept my hands high on the steering wheels. The officer asked for my ID and registration. I told her that the registration is in the glove box, but there are 2 pistols in it. She said "that's ok, go ahead and get the registration, just don't touch the guns." After handing it her and having closed the glove box, she said "just keep your hands on the steering while I run this." I replied, "I can do better than that. I'll keep my hands outside the window where you can see them."

She soon came back asking why I didn't tell her I'm in law enforcement? "You didn't ask how I was employed." She laughed, said "wait a minute." About 3 minutes later she came back giving me a written warning.

I didn't mention I had a 45acp in a case between the seats or M1 behind the seats of my old pickup. I would have if she has asked if I have any firearms.

For a while, there was real effort to convince people if stopped by the police KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL! MANY police are surprise shot on simple traffic stops. Second, if you have a firearm, make absolutely certain you do NOTHING without the officer's permission and then do exactly as told.

Both black men had guns. Both took actions that lead to being shot. In Minnesota it was a gun on his lap and ignoring the officers commands. For the other, he was a huge man with a gun in his pocket fighting to keep his hands down by his pocket. I have NO problem whatsoever with the Minnesota shooting. I MAY with the other because it possible was not necessary to shoot him that way or so many times. It really is NOT necessary to shoot repeatedly and always to kill. However, that is how most police are trained.

You have gun and you are being confronted by the police, KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM THE GUN. Parents should teach this to their kids and I have no clue why schools do not teach kids how to interact with police.

One more item you need to add to this --

The police officer Yanez is heard on the video screaming, “I told him not to reach for it, I told him to get his hand off it!!”.

The officer had every right to shoot Castile if he then reached for the gun. If you know anything about how quickly a pistol can be moved into
firing position and discharged you would know why he would do so. You can go on YouTube and search -- "officer shot traffic stop" and you
can see how fast these things can develop.

Castile made a choice to carry a gun with him in his car and have it on the seat. When he made that choice he set in motion a set of possibilities.
One of those possibilities is if he gets pulled over by a police officer on a traffic stop, shows his gun, and then makes a move towards that gun
after being commanded not to, he will be fired upon and possibly die.

The two posts above mine show the right way things are done. The video with the woman whining is no doubt on the up and up, but she may not know how cops must go into protective mode.

Cops don't discriminate between black people when looking for a black suspect. All black men become suspects.

I was in Canada in 1991 when an innocent black motorist was shot by Canadian police because he resembled an escapee they were seeking. The pictures of the motorist and the escapee in the newspaper exemplified that there was no resemblance between the two other than both were black.

Clearly that policeman who stated "just ‘cause of the wide set nose" thinks all blacks have wide noses. ie no other reason.

That policeman must be the first person ever to identify someone driving by (at speed?) from his nose (amazing eye sight) - not hair, not clothes, nor robbery suspects car, not car number plate (I would have thought that the robbery suspects car was on cctv as it was a gas station); why does he say that "they" look like the suspects when only one person was involved in the robbery?

Local news media here in the Twin Cities confirmed that this was a FAKE story.

Now it is time for all those deluded right wingers who gave LIKES to the OP to take them back and to leave the this site.

I actually hit a license and registration and insurance check yesterday when I got off the interstate. I was like three cars back in line and got my little leather portfolio containing my docs out while waiting and also my wallet out of my back pocket to get my license and had them in hand when it came to my turn. He looked at my license, noted I had my other docs at the ready and told me have a nice day and away I went. I don't want to be fumbling around for them in front of the officer and have them at the ready to retrieve and then in hand before he even approaches.

I couldn't agree more that a far too great a number of police are just plain scared when making an arrest or even a traffic stop. That does not help any situation.
