I don't know any country that is so cheesy they take money from foreign workers rather than let them send it home to relatives.

Oh there's the one where Trump challenged black Americans to go back to Africa, which many people believe.

There are gullible, ill informed people on all sides.

The question is, why do you believe you have the right to benefit from the work of oppressed laborers?

Don't forget that when they come to America, we have to educate them and provide for their health care. These are expenditures that Mexico should be paying for. The Mexicans that I see do not look like Mexico's brain-drain. They look more like Mexico's rejects. Cruel to say, and it probably shouldn't be said, but it is the truth as I see it from my eyes.

Uhh, are you being facetious? Mexico is a violent, practically ungovernable, corrupt, third world hell hole that pawns its rejects onto America.

Even my Mexican co worker admits that a lot of Hispanics including Mexicans who come to the U.S.A are fleeing looking for a quick fix to their lives which they can't find in Mexico, and that thus they're disproportionately people who couldn't make it.

Since the illegals who pick fruits "cheaper" tend to make poverty incomes, and have "more kids"

We end up paying for their welfare, and to educate their children anyways, even though they pay significantly less taxes into the system.

Some estimates put 100 billion a year spent on illegal immigrants in the U.S.A, mostly in the form of paying to educate their children.

If you have ever been anywhere in Mexica besides the resorts, you will see the 'villagers' living in clay huts with no windows, no electricity, and no septic. These are the indigenous natives who were left behind when Mexico modernized. If you drive through their towns on a Friday afternoon, you can see them lined up in front a community building waiting for their subsistence money. That is all they do. They live off welfare. That is why the Mexican government works to persuade them to come here. They are a huge expense that Mexico no longer has to deal with.

i wouldn't call it cheesy, i'd call it theft. there are, however, many nations that limit the amount of their currency sent out of country by foreign nationals and even their own people, especially in times of financial crisis. would a major portion of our workforce sitting idle, because they had been replaced by foreign labor working here illegally, count as crisis? for that matter;,if you'd call such a nation cheesy, what would you call a nation that openly encouraged its citizens to break the laws of its neighbors in order to fill its own coffers? criminal? this is precisely the sort of nation that our current pretender to the throne sides with against the very people he was sworn to serve.

That's hilarious. Does he not realize that most of those here fled his (*)(*)(*)(*) hole of a nation? That they wouldn't go back permanently if you paid them to?
Those that return at his neck and call we can stand to lose. What a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing maroon this president.

They will adjust-and there are far better outcomes for people who actually work to support themselves.

Oh noes! We will save significantly on wellfare, the quality of education in schools will improve, hospitals will have beds open, crime will drop, and incomes will rise.

But veggies might be more expensive until the market adjusts.

    Teh Horrors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    - - - Updated - - -

    Yes.

The current rage there are high profile mass beheadings, and spreading the bodies around entire cities and towns.

The mexican military is actually more of a anti-cartel organization-and its failing miserably.

Hard to believe that Mexico's most important 'natural resource', i.e. illegal's paychecks from working in the US, would be halted!

True, and the children (either anchor babies or illegal) are even more likely to be on welfare.

This is a well studied characteristic amongst immigrants.

I once visited Mexicali/Calexico and once it was dark I noticed in the hills dozens of campfires miles off.

I was told those are the local laborers, they live in shanty towns or homeless villages, and burn trash for heat and cooking.

All within eyesight of the US.

I've seen the same in other parts of Baja, as well as from the border in El Paso (never been across the border there).

I've also flown and driven into Mexico to provide medical care.

    Stunning poverty in the villages.

Yeah, thats one of those "Bad Deals" Trump keeps talking about.

We retard our economy while these relatively dirty third world nations take a few token measures but end up benefitting more financially.

Mexico doesn't do much for its poor -- that's for sure. Why not send them north so American taxpayers can take care of them.

I know some of them work, but the women I see aren't working unless you call having broods--working.

This is sooo not the case where I live. In fact, it's the opposite. Many immigrants who came either as refugees, illegals, or dirt poor migrants, have raised kids who are very successful, far outstripping their own parents' achievements. And they came to socialist country with very generous and easy to acquire welfare, so could have watched tv and grown fat if they wanted. These people aren't from one racial group, either. The majority of African and Asian immigrants have raised kids here who are far far ahead of the lowest common denominator. The Arabs and Indians, also. Even the post war southern Europeans who came here (Greeks and Italians) are generally richer than the whites.

There's some mysterious element to American culture that makes people complacent. I'm pretty sure that those same Mexicans, had they come to this country, would be producing the next generation of neurosurgeons and CEOs. I don't think it's them, in other words. In fact we actually know two South American families who arrived here with nothing. They're literally millionaires now.
