Gays cannot be jewish!

I never heard that Jews were anti-gay and I never would have used that title for this thread, but board rules and all. I know there is stuff in the bible about it, but it always seemed like Jews supported gays. Just wondering what the deal is on this stuff from our resident experts.

Well.. Israel decriminalised same-sex sexual activity in 1988 and even allows them to adopt. Not bad I would say compared to many other countries.

The situation in Israel is a bit more complex than your statements suggest. As in Christian churches in the USA, there is a broad spectrum of attitude toward gays and gay marriage in Israel. The gay pride parade you mention happens in Tel Aviv. If such a public demonstration were attempted in Jerusalem the marchers would be stoned by haredim.

No they don't.. Gays might get a short jail term or a lashing for public same sex behavior, but they don't execute gays.

Saudi Arabia has about as many gays per capita as we have in the US.. and they are sons and brothers just like in America.

 

Israel has a MUCH better record on Gay rights, than Saudi Arabia.

Different cultures... Even heterosexual couples in Saudi Arabia don't do public displays. On the other hand Tel Aviv, Israel advertises itself as a gay tourist destination.

Young blacks in the US are the most-affected victims of this irresponsibility, and their new infection rate is higher than anyone else--so, rather obviously, it is older gays that are infecting them.

If I had a gay son infected with HIV by an older infected gay and lived in a third-world country where there was little chance for HIV treatment I could see myself supporting having such a person thrown from a rooftop. Transmitting HIV is still in essence murder in third world countries, and everywhere else it is still the transmission of an incurable and costly illness.

To be clear....in the US anyone can be anything that is legal. People define who they are themselves

 

there's nothing wrong with being gay, and Israel tolerates Gay people.

you should be proud of this, as most Muslim nations severely persecute Gay people.
