    MEDIA ENDORSEMENTS
The LA Times (source of the one poll that has consistently shown Trump doing about 6 points better than the polling average) endorsed Clinton today, and their words on both Clinton and Trump are well-chosen:

    WHO NEEDS MINORITIES?

Trump's minority outreach has been a clueless disaster, from his "Taco bowl" tweet, to talking about how awful black neighborhoods are in front of mostly white audiences, to his race-baiting tweets and retweets of white nationalist memes, to his racially tinged attacks on immigrants, both legal and illegal.

Nothing brings this home better than his complete lack of ANY campaign messaging in Spanish:
    http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/donald-trumps-english-only-campaign-228559

In Trump's world, if you don't speak English well, you aren't worthy of his attention. But politically, it's worse than that. Most Latinos speak English. But Trump's refusal to take even a tiny step to accommodate people for whom Spanish is their first language is a strong statement, even to English-speaking Latinos. It says "I don't care about you."

That's why even people who wanted to help Trump have quit in disgust.

The best part is the ONE time the campaign tried to do something in Spanish, they got it laughably, horribly wrong.

    WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE...

Previous editions of "Today in Trump" have documented how many of Trump's surrogates are a motley collection of hacks, B-listers, idiots and flakes.

    Today we add three more.

Joseph Cella is Trump's new "chief liaison for Catholic affairs." But back in the primaries, Cella said this about Trump:
    http://www.nationalreview.com/article/432437/donald-trump-catholic-opposition-statement

Then there is Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the rabidly anti-abortion group Susan B. Anthony List. She was recently named head of Trump's "pro-life coalition." But back in January, she said this:
    https://www.sba-list.org/home/pro-life-women-sound-the-alarmdonald-trump-is-unacceptable

So that's two for the "opportunistic hack" category.

Next we have Kathy Miller, Trump's campaign chair in Ohio.
    http://www.dispatch.com/content/sto...mp-campaign-chair-no_racism-before-obama.html

After that jaw-droppingly clueless comment, Miller then went on to blame blacks for their own situation, rejecting any possibility that they face systemic or racial barriers.

Miller has since apologized and resigned. Let's add her to the "ignorant dumbass" category.

IF Trump blows the Debate Monday night and the polls head south again?

It'll be hilarious to see all the Rightwingers who quoted "RCP averages" or "CNN" or "Monmouth University" or even the "L.A. Times"?

suddenly declare them all "skewed polls put out by the Hillary-loving media"......again.

    :)
