So now that means Houston will have to have two weeks of black riots because of the evil, wicked police shooting a black guy? Figures.

 

Houston has open carry don't they? As we've been repeatedly told more guns makes for fewer gun shootings (yeah I snicker as I read this stuff too) and only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun. So how can this happen?

The majority of states have open carry. Not sure anyone, besides you, ever claimed that open carry would stop all shootings. Much like in Chicago , where carry Is banned, has massive amounts of shootings. How does that happen?

Actually it wasn't him it was defenders of open carry who said it would serve as a deterrent to people using guns in crimes.

The fact is open carry exposes all police and civilians in such jurisdictions to imminent threat of death because
it makes a criminal or terrorist indistinguishable from a law abiding citizen.

Its also not rocket science. If you can buy a gun and carry it in the open, nut cases and terrorists will use that access and
right to facilitate their massacres.


Sorry I do not know any soldiers and I know a few or police officers and I have worked with quite a few,
who glorify their guns.

The people I know on gun ranges don't glorify their guns, They use the exercise to learn
discipline and concentration not to kill.

Necessity hunters and I know many, they don't glorify their hunting rifles any more
then they would a tractor or garden hoe.

Your country is commiting suicide by guns.

You've created a nightmare for police and civilians.

Owning guns does not deter crime but it does increase the likelihood a police officer dies in a
domestic call (the no,1 reason they die) or there is a tragedy on a car stop.

I believe only police should carry weapons.

This isn't about self defence, its about people wanting to take the law into their own
hands and who feel empowered by owning weapons.

Its not rocket science. Its people who feel they are out of control believing the gun gives
it back to them.

How does living in fear which is the reason people by guns empower them?

The very fact you have to own a weapon means you have given in to the
belief you will live in fear and never find peace. I get that.

I get Americans feel frightened and feel they need protection.

I just think its sad guns have become the God they seek
salvation from.

 

Lots of states have open carry, that doesn't mean most do open carry. Besides, many malls are no gun zones and do not allow the open carry. But I'm sure if guns were banned, you think the gunman would've not committed this crime.

 

I didn't say they would stop 'all' shootings did I. You are the only one using the word 'all'. I used the word 'fewer'.

I think many would-be gunmen may think twice about shooting when there is a strong possibility those around him are also armed. I live in the mountains where everyone has an arsenal at their fingertips. A shooting here is almost unheard of as is home invasions or car jacking............ or pretty much most crimes in general.

I don't know if this mall was, but most that I go to are.

yep, both S&W and Taurus make them. I think you can get a .22 in a 10 shot model and I might be wrong on this but 8 shot models are available in larger calibers

one of my best friend lives in Houstons and would have been in the downtown at that time so I am worried

 

He could've had a speed loader, or not... he might have been able to reload with relative ease if there wasn't any return fire.

 

There are plenty of 7 & 8 shot revolvers.

 

only people I know that would bother learning to reload with a speedloader are competitive shooters, and in general competitive shooters don't do massacres. Of course mass shooters generally prefer bottom feeders, it is odd that this one used a wheelgun

Of course there would be fewer shootings. The law abiding citizens would be the ones doing less shootings. Only thing is the criminal minded ones running around...they would be doing more. Just making it easier for them.

So chances are that this may not be a terrorist attack no matter how much Trump supporters pray, wushu, and hope that it is a terrorist attack.
