I find this thread too funny considering Chicago Cops already do stop and frisk whenever the hell they want.

Violent crime dropped by 2/3rds, but few Democrat care about victims, only violent criminals.

When Tony Schwartz was writing Donald J. Trump’s first book, “The Art of the Deal,” in the late 1980s, he was startled by his client’s short attention span. During their first interview, Mr. Trump endured just a few minutes of Mr. Schwartz’s questions before leaping up from his chair and declaring the entire exercise a waste of his time.

“He couldn’t tolerate doing interviews,” he tells me. “He just couldn’t stay focused for more than a few minutes at a time. And think about this, Michael, it was when he was talking about himself, which is his favorite subject.”

In the latest episode of The Run-Up, Mr. Schwartz explains why he is sharing his intimate knowledge of how Mr. Trump thinks and behaves with aides to Hillary Clinton to help her prepare for Monday night’s highly anticipated presidential debate.

    You know......

If I lived in a crime ridden neighborhood

I would think I would want a safe place for

my children to grow up without gunfire and

    violence all around them.

    But that's just me.....................

    Not everyone.

    Just the responsible decent people.

I suppose it depends on how you define stolen goods. The white middle class will not knowingly acquire them. If you believe "everyone" will this tends to verify my belief that the black middle class will. The middle classes in this country are probably for the most part the only people in this country that follow a strict morality, but the variations in this morality between the races could contribute to other variations which are argued as being proof of injustice. If blacks want it this way maybe they should consider having certain laws, such as those against theft, not be enforced at all in their neighborhoods.

Now, if you're talking about purchasing clothing made by slave labor in other countries, we could have a different conversation on this. One of the reasons I am supporting Trump.

So would you support gun control that only permits responsible decent people having guns?

Complete BS. Some people of all classes and colors would willingly and knowingly acquire stolen goods if they thought they could get away with it (Bernie Madoff, anyone?). Others would be willing to do so on the basis of being wilfully blind to their origin.

There are other people of all classes and colors who would do so even if there were a risk of getting caught, and yet another group (again - of all classes and colors) that would NOT knowingly acquire stolen goods even if they knew for a fact they would not get caught.

It is not a white middle class thing to do, and any true member of the white middle class would either not receive stolen goods at all--or, if the exception (I doubt there are many) would certainly not let their peers know they had done so.

The power of the white middle class to a large extent stems from their trustworthiness, which makes them employable.

    2012 article:
    http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebat...p-and-frisk-has-lowered-crime-in-other-cities
Unfairly targets minorities? Is that because the police target them (in which case it's not the policy but the people enforcing the policy)? But, you have to ask if it's racially motivated or statistically - i.e. if the majority of crime comes from blacks, then they are causing the racial issue by becoming stereotypes.

But of course it's not popular.

so what; by regulating well, gun lovers of the People who have to 'splain themselves before the Judicature for "unsafe Arms" practices; we could also be getting better aqueducts and better roads, not just reductions in violent crime.

Your boy made a fool of himself last night chasing the bait every time it was thrown out there.

But then again, he's an "entertainer" not a politician, nor a diplomat, nor anything approaching an intellect. The contrast between the two couldn't have been starker.

the online polls? Oh dear, those are real scientific.

But if he did win according to those polls, my opinion of how smart some americans are has been pointedly confirmed.
