Not sure if this is a first or not, but hats off to Iceland on this one. Has there been another country, as a nation, who has taken this step? Let's hope this gets the ball rolling and other nations follow suit. Whether you believe the boycott or the divestment will work or not is irrelevant. As more nations wake to the horror Israel's government wreaks in that region, more pressure can be applied to them through sanctions and that has to be a good thing for humanity.

    Thanks, Iceland, for the sanity.

A city in Iceland wanted to boycott goods in 2015 and immediately did a U turn. The Icelandic government criticized the city's authority.
I can find no legitimate statement that ICELAND has now reversed taken a different stance so this is false news.

    Interesting.
It seems this story is a year old and for some reason is being passed around by trash sites as if new.

Not to mention that even so the OP failed to notice it was only the capitol of Reykjavik.

Stuff like this should count as an infraction.

It was a vote from their capital which includes over 1/2 of their population. This is a huge step in the right direction. Folks who want peace should follow suit worldwide.

A huge step in the right direction would be "Palestinians" ending their war on jews.

Sometimes when you hate a nation like Israel, you will not check very deeply on what feeds confirmation bias.

I do not like many of the things the conservatives in Israel have done, like settlements, which only makes things worse, but I support the right of Israel to exist. These jews turned what looks like a wasteland in many places, something from Mars, into an advanced high technology civilization who doesn't survive on camel milk and dates. Who brought a non theocracy to a part of the world that still lives mentally in the 8th century. Israel is the Star of the Middle East. And many arabs hate them because of it. Israel is the modern world, surrounded by an anachronism with a few exceptions.

Which is why it is so nonsensical and ironic, that the US has taken down, or is trying to take down the few secular gov'ts in the middle east, and allow them to be replaced with sharia, theocratic gov'ts. It makes no sense, unless somehow there is money involved for our elites, or western elites. Which is probably what drives much of our perpetual war for perpetual peace.

The opening post of a thread is supposed to set the topic and the tone of the discussion. It should contain a member's opinions or questions with sufficient elaboration to establish a foundation for respectful discussion and debate.

Your post is in fact false.

It also clearly sets a tone to incite insults about Israel.

    Yet another failed thread.

I do admire persistence, but when a poster's batting average is well below their weight, it might be time to switch to another game.

Hatred of Jews such as the incessant messages of the OP and actions by such as Iceland is the oldest and most popular bigotry in known world history.

    - - - Updated - - -

The OPer doesn't care about the truth in his messages, only his rabid fixation on his personal hatred of Jews - nothing else in his messages. Just bigot crap to make himself feel like he is of a superior master race.

just an excuse to practice their anti Semitism and disguise it as being anti Israel like all liberals are prone to do

there are a hell of a lot more nations mostly Muslim countries I might add with hell of a lot worse human rights violation then Israel so why aren't you SJW liberals calling for boycotts against the products made in those nations?

Your hypocrisy proves a hidden motive it isn't about being Anti Israel and all to do with being Jew hating Anti Semites

Iceland Votes To Boycott All Products Made In Israel

    such fraud.

the people of Iceland never voted on such a thing.

the people of Reykjavik, Iceland's capital, never voted on such a thing.

it was a vote by the city council, which was quickly overturned,

Israeli products are still for sale in Iceland and Reykjavik.
