Oh, i'm perfectly calm because I know the right wing bluster about rebellion and whatnot is nothing more than a few scared, old men. You're right, military service does not make one a badass, but my point was the oath servicemen take is not so easily breakable as you think it would be. There will be no division of the country. Right wingers will simply have to deal with the fact that they put up one of the worst candidates in history as the reason they lost. Or, they can float conspiracy theories and pretend the country has been taken from them.

    1. You're language is hostile and vile.
    2. You are repeating lies that you are unable to substantiate.
    3. You just sullied your reputation by allowing yourself to get riled up over propaganda.
    4. You've been had by the progs.

Well, that is to prevent voter fraud--the checking of signatures on mail-in ballots with those on file. I'm glad that voting officials are rejecting signatures that don't match--that should prevent most dead people from voting.

Dodging the issue I see. You could have just admitted you were wrong, but I get the impression you aren't that type.

It most certainly is. My home state has been running democratically without interruption for 160 years. We actually have independent bodies to run our elections & draw our electoral boundaries. You should try it some time.

Oh dear. Not well informed, are we? I'm starting to see a pattern.

No, guns are perfectly legal in Australia, we just have restrictions on what types can be owned and by whom. Works pretty well too - under 250 murders per year and 30-40 firearms murders (if we were the same size as the US those figures would be 3750 murders and 450-600 firearms murders).

People have the opportunity to vote on laws such as that at every election. The PM who introduced the tightest restrictions on guns was re-elected 3 times after he brought in the laws. They were the most popular thing he did. Subsequent governments have also supported the restrictions at the 7 elections since he lost power. Even minor attempts to weaken them have been very unpopular. Parties representing the interests of gun owners have done very poorly by comparison.

    Democracy in action.

Sounds like they could also use our system of scrutineers

Won't go there with mandatory voting though as it tends to upset Americans but I have to say it does make checking for fraud easier

It works very well. In the last decade we've had a minority government & one with a 1 seat majority & everybody accepts the result as legit. I can recall a government that lost power in Victoria on the back of losing a seat by under 10 votes. No riots in the streets or threats of armed uprising.

Guess some of our US friends have spent so long buried in the Conservative Entertainment Complex they struggle to recognise a functioning democracy when they see one. So sad.

You're upset because poll workers did their job? I thought you wanted to prevent voter fraud. Update your signature, don't use your initials to sign it, and don't forget to sign it.

And stop paying attention to chain emails.

Hmmm.... Did I write that? Guess you don't like the truth. The signature was questioned and the voter corrected the situation.

Was it corrected? I hadn't read that from your article. That's great, and maybe this voter has learned a valuable lesson about updating her signature or writing it properly.

Law dictates that poll workers not look at the voters choice before checking the signature, so you'll have to prove that those workers violated that law by checking the vote before checking the signature. This article failed to do so.

This thread might appeal to Trump's beloved uneducated voters, but the rest of us can see right through it.

I get it. But the OP did not have an open mind when he titled this thread "IT'S RIGGED!" Suspicion can be cast on everything we do in America, and the internet makes it worse in some ways because unverified (and even unverifiable) claims and accusations spread like wildfire. And there's a guy named Trump who is trying to leverage all of that fear and uncertainty to get into the White House.

I hope people begin honing better information filters as a result of this election so we don't devolve into a society that develops policy on conspiracy theory.

Well put, but when one sees how the Clinton campaign has colluded with the DNC, with Big Government Approved Media, with Obama himself, with
the Justice Department and with dozens of corporations (I suggest Googling Hillary Clinton Colludes and see what pops up) we are actually living
through an actual, verified and real conspiracy to put Hillary in the White House.

Reality has trumped (no pun intended) your comment and I personally don't blame anyone who believes in conspiracies when it comes to the Clintons.
They are clearly paying attention and have every right to be concerned.

Btw...in the case of the OP I once again remain a bit skeptical but can't dismiss the possibility at all.
