"The silence from feminist groups on the treatment of women in the Islamic world is all one needs to know."

In general, women in feminist groups or by themselves only speak for their own countries or their own religions, the same as men in men’s groups. It is sort of like if Russia tries to interfere with a US election- it is seen as meddling, even though funding for parties is unlimited from anonymous sources after the crazy Supreme Court's Citizens United decision.

From Wikipedia, a list of the more well-known Muslims regarding Muslim women’s rights:

    • Leila Ahmed - Egyptian-American professor of women's studies
    • Qasim Amin - an early advocate of women's rights in Islamic society
    • Elvia Ardalani - a Mexican writer and author of De cruz y media luna/ From Cross and Crescent Moon
    • Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hussain - A Bangladeshi gender equality activist, founder of the first Muslim girls' school in Bengal, authored Sultana's Dream (an early work of feminist science fiction), The Woman in Captivity (Bengali: অবরোধবাসিনী), Essence of the lotus (Bengali: পদ্মরাগ) and several other feminism based publications.
    • Asma Barlas - Pakistani-American professor at Ithaca College, and author of "Believing Women" in Islam: Unreading Patriarchal Interpretations of the Qur'an
    • Mukhtaran Bibi - Pakistani advocate for rape prevention and women's rights
    • Shirin Ebadi - Iranian lawyer and human rights activist who founded the Association for Support of Children's Rights. Also, a Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2003 for her efforts in promoting democracy and human rights especially for women and children.
    • Farid Esack - male supporter and scholar
    • Soumya Naâmane Guessous - Moroccan sociologist and campaigner on inheriting citizenship
    • Zaib-un-Nissa Hamidullah - Pakistan's first woman columnist and editor, first woman to speak at Al-Azhar University, and author of The Bull and the She Devil
    • Riffat Hassan - Pakistani-American theologian and scholar of the Qur'an
    • Hamida Javanshir - Azerbaijani philanthropist, co-founder in 1910 of the Muslim Women's Caucasian Benevolent Society
    • Na'eem Jeenah - South African scholar and activist
    • Shamsunnahar Mahmud - Bengali writer, educationalist, politician and activist.
    • Irshad Manji - Canadian journalist, author of The Trouble with Islam Today

That is so absurd that it defies belief. Feminists groups all across the world work to help make all women's lives better. Perhaps if Fox News actually covered these groups instead of wasting airtime on Hannity you might hear more about women's efforts across the entire world. Why just recently Aston Kucher saved something like 1000 sex slaves. I get so tired of the childish rants of conservatives when selective outrage becomes your latest temper tantrum. What you want, what you hope for, what you pray for is the Clash of Civilizations where we stand on a pedestal and lecture the world to become like us. I have news for you. The GOP just selected one of the most anti-female candidate in decades to lead our nation. American feminists are focused on him first while they try to save the rest of the world from morons like Trump.

    Ashton Kutcher? LOL

Feel free to point out some US based feminist groups who are complaining about the way women are treated by Muslims in the Islamic world.

I can't fix your problem, do your own research. Hillary Clinton herself has spoken about women's rights across the world for over 50 years.

Does that mean that Bush and Cheney should pay the victims of Al Qaeda.

That would be a stupid thing to do.

It's no wonder you considered it as a comparison.

    No examples, then. How surprising.

Not talking about women in general, I'm talking about left-wingers specifically citing the treatment of women in the Islamic world as the problem.
