I write this as a passionate American, and not as a Democrat. I feel it is a responsibility, an obligation to report this news, as if I am the president addressing the country that we have declared nuclear war. I hope you never have, but if you saw a murder take place right in front of your eyes, and the victim was left to bleed to death, what would that sight look like? To anyone with a good heart, you would be horrified. This is what we experienced last night, as a general Republic, as millions of Americans watched in horror as Trump took more and more states. The America we loved, and held dear has been fatally wounded, and bled to death, the blood's contaminants including angst, hate, malice, and fear. This is, I am sorry to report, not a political piece but a obituary, and a sad eulogy. We, as Americans, have to come together, and stay strong during these next four years that the fringe are in control. I am not one of those Democrats who will demand recounts, or take to the streets and riot. I now know what it felt like when millions of Americans got the news that Kennedy was assassinated, or one of those helpless bystanders when the twin towers were attacked. The latter I already had a feeling of, but not of the former. I want to say to the LGBTQ communities, the minorities, women, and immigrants to have each others back. To stay strong, and know what it truly means to be Americans, and exercise our values. Trump may be terrified of you, you may be terrified of him, but he will never strip you of what makes you, you. We must all be in this together if we are to make it through the next four years. But, with that said, we cannot let Americas death go unnoticed, and without fighting for what she would have wanted. We must fight harder than we ever have before, we must scream louder than we ever have before, it is up to us to fight for the values, now only shadows, in our communities. The trauma may implant itself into our brains, but the passing of Lady Liberty demands a battle cry. I play American-made instruments, I drive American-made cars, I know what it means to support America. It cannot go without saying that we could have seen this murder coming. The newspaper endorsements, the celebrity appearances, the smearing commercials all could not keep the bullet from jumping through the smoke. In fact, I knew it wouldn't. My fellow Americans, let us all take a moment of silence, hold each others hands in observance, and the other hand on our beating hearts. Lower our heads slightly, and close our eyes. Pay our respects. We will go on with our lives, and soon will be congregating for the holidays. We will approach the New Year, and go into 2017 swinging. America may have taken her last breath, but that does not mean we have to take ours. This one is for you, Lady Liberty. We knew, and loved you well. United States of America 1776-2016

Angst, hate, malice and fear are feeeeeeelings, not actions. Feelings are benign. Actions have consequences. No actions have been taken by the new president, and you're declaring him and us DOA.

Perhaps this could of waited until the scandals from Obama and his administration are revealed!! I don't think this victory is a victory of the republicans of the past, nor a victory of republicans. Rather a victory against the establishment that is currently in. Which is why a victory has been made with a republican president, congress, senate, and soon to be scotus!!!! To put it short, this is an attempt to wipe the white house clean! If Trump sticks to his guns on term limits for every type of government title, or public servant. This could be one of the best outcomes out of it all. IMO!
The reason why lefties feel broadsided is because their perception of America and the political landscape was limited to what a corrupt and biased media presented to them. The lefty propaganda media machine had a horse in the race, and they used their power to engineer a false reality to their loyal viewers, a reality that would encourage voters to bet on this horse. Even now, lefties are absorbing Trump's victory through the lens of lefty media. I agree America is dead. The America of small government and maximum personal freedom was initially wounded by FDR, then curb stomped by Johnson, and finally knocked off by Obama. We're now just a big, fat, socialist state where equality of results is valued more than equality of opportunity. We're no longer unified and doing great things like landing on the moon. We're just a collection of ethnic groups fighting over an increasingly smaller economic pie.
