Donald Trump has picked Linda McMahon, co-founder of pro wrestling company WWE, to lead his Small Business Administration, his transition team said Wednesday.

The 68-year-old McMahon was a major Trump backer during his campaign, giving $6 million to a pro-Trump super PAC.
    ............................

McMahon and husband Vince founded WWE more than 30 years ago. The publicly traded company now has a market value of about $1.5 billion. ..................

The part in bold above is the most important take-away. Once again Trump makes a wise choice. Who better than a person who helped take a struggling business and grow it into an international brand. It is folks like McMahon who understand business that will be able to shake up some of the agencies and get the govt back to being about helping the people as opposed to ruling over the people.

    Well here is a shocker.

An incredibly wealthy backer of Trump and donor to PACs supporting him got herself an job working for the government, a nice appointment form Trump, making her what, the 4th billionaire Trump has appointed?

Definitely in touch with the common man.

A woman whose husband inherited his business. Granted, they increased the size of it, in my opinion, by marketing homoerotic imagery in the form of scantily clad men to the masses, but other than donate money to Trump, I am trying to think of her qualifications here.

Marrying a guy that inherited a business? Maybe. Any guesses?

Linda McMahon, the former chief executive officer of World Wrestling Entertainment, was selected on Wednesday by Mr. Trump to head the Small Business Administration, adding another billionaire to the president-elect’s affluent stable.

“Linda has a tremendous background and is widely recognized as one of the country’s top female executives advising businesses around the globe. She helped grow W.W.E. from a modest 13-person operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees in offices worldwide,” Mr. Trump said in a statement.

Ms. McMahon, a failed Senate candidate from Connecticut, was with her husband Vince one of Mr. Trump’s biggest campaign donors. She contributed $6 million to a “super PAC” supporting Mr. Trump in August and September, according to federal election filings.

And, of course, Mr. Trump has shown a great facility for professional wrestling, so the choice makes sens

shame on Trump, picking for the SBA a woman who took a company from a 13-person operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees in offices worldwide. What would she know about small business growth? He should have picked a career government bureaucrat who specializes in red tape production

Is she the most qualified? Or simply the largest donor with a long term relationship with Trump dating back to the days where he was part of her show?

I am not sure she grew a business. Her husband's family was in wrestling promotions for years before she married him. While no doubt their business grew, was it their doing or luck? their doing or simply an expansion of the TV market?

of course she isn't. That career bureaucrat with the background in red tape production would have been a far better choice

I think there are plenty of successful folks in this country, wealthy enough to leave private industry and want to give back through public service.

Folks who have started businesses, who have achieved, who have done more than marketing Hulk Hogan in a speedo.

I think this choice is repayment by Trump to someone who gave millions, who is inherently underqualified, who simply wants a vanity appointment.

Bravo, well spoken! Another excellent pick.

Hulk hogan wasn't relevant in the wwe as they grew the company. He was in Turner owned WCW. Which actually makes what they did more impressive!

well when you are elected I guess you get to choose one of those. Seems to me Trump picked someone who has a proven record in small business growth so that is good enough for me

    I disagree.

I see this as nothing more than politcal cronyism. I don;t think she grew much of anything. I think she had the fortune of marrying a guy who lucked into much.

interesting choice - gives his haters some fodder to make more of a mockery of him - tying him and his personality to the WWF should be a talking point for all liberal comedians for a while

Women can do great things too. Stop the hatred of this pick because shes a woman. She is a successful ceo whether you admit it or not so what could your issue possibly be other than she is a woman. Trump tapped her because she is the best one for the job. Get used to it or not. However just so you know, the latter provides me with a great deal of entertainment. Hes picking generals too...thats gotta cause some worry too right? So satisfying.

The first pick so far I don't like. No one that's associated with that steroid filled moron attracting freak show should be rewarded with anything.

So the same people that are in the mindset that there is a "War on Women" and we need diversity in everything are downplaying the success of this person because.. she is woman who was dared to be supported by Trump and vice versa? I thought Trump was a sexist and bigot? A little consistency would be nice folks!:wall::wall::wall:

LInda McMahon is a perfect fit for the Trump administration. She comes from an industry that lives on the phony baloney, smoke and mirrors, make believe, the big lie and showing something that is not what is is. She will fit in perfectly with 70% of the other picks made by LICE.

Didn't Fox news run a fake story about an FBI indictment based on Clinton Foundations alleged pay to play where people may have gotten meetings with Hillary for donations? Here we have Trump foundation's largest donor and one of his campaigns largest donors getting a job in his administration. I wonder how Fox will play this.

Trump is trolling America. The only disaster left would be appointing Sarah Palin for Sec. of Interior. Trump's supporters have a serious date with reality. And she ain't pretty....
