Never had to deal with any Profs too wild and crazy. I did have a sociology prof. that talked about her days doing "sit ins" during her Hippie days. But this was before the great push to promote homosexuality and gender identity.

 

Every liberal, every school teacher, every professor are all filled with hate according to you.

I don't know I pursued it as a passion to begin with, but eventually thought I'd escape the blue collar dead-end existence by getting that BA (mainly, learning the language sufficiently!) and using it. The self-employment tax can be a bother, but otherwise, if you're a hard and productive worker, it can easily pay off, yes.

 

And my experience was 2008-2010. I can't imagine how much worse things may have gotten since.

No and no. In fact, Trump has been proposing to lower taxes for working people as well as business, by my understanding. Specifically, he's proposed a much higher standard deduction, among other things.

 

If the guy ended up in the psych ward, I would say he was insane.

 

Yeah, I am going to pay way less taxes. But doesn't your success rely on foreign trade? That ought to dry up.

 

I suppose it would depend on the kind of foreign trade in question. The nature of my work could change if we ever close all of our military bases in German-speaking countries.
