The most likely culprit is the Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (TAK), an offshoot of the militant Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) which claimed responsibility for the December 11th bombings that killed 38 people outside an Istanbul soccer stadium as well as the March 2016 Ankara bombing that killed 37.

Obviously not all terrorism is Islamic, just the vast majority. What percentage of terrorism would have to be Islamic for you to condemn Mohammad, my friend? 10%, 20%? Please give us a number. Muslims make up about 21% of all humanity, so I'd say any amount over, say, 27% or so would mean that Islam is a religion of violence. If it was a "religion of peace" then it would be well BELOW that 21% figure.

The IRA's terrorism is, like Jihadism, the result of FAITH. Faith leads to terrorism, so faith needs to end.

Will Muslims condemn the Islamic texts for saying to establish an Islamic Caliphate (Islamic rule)? If not, then that proves that Islam is a clear and present danger to the free world.

And yet only on "several occasions" has Indonesia, the most populous Sunni Muslim country, been struck by terrorism.

    So much for your theory.

With a whopping 30,000 Islamic terrorist attacks since 9/11 alone (thereligionofpeace.com has the voluminous list) Islam is in no position to claim that it's a religion of peace even if some parts of Islamic nations are less barbarous than other parts.

If you can read the link I provided you on Indonesia and still think America should go that direction there really isn't much left to say to you on this subject. Have a nice new year's day.

The target place is quite symbolic. That night club "Reina" is one of the most prestigious places to go in Istanbul, usually multi-six figures $ secular people go there. The terrorist/s might be of ISID or PKK. Nothing is really known at the moment. There have been many PKK attacks which targeted civilians.

"....gunman who 'screamed Allahu Akbar' before killing 39" - so I just lost $100 because I bet a guy that it was THE AMISH who committed this terrorist attack!! That's the LAST time I doubt Islam's ability to be the cause of terrorism let me tell you!! I guess Obama/Hillary/Bernie/DNC were flat out lying to us when they've said that Islam is a religion of peace.

Yes, an attack on secularism. Faith and secularism are in WWIII.
As a Modern Secular Humanist this strikes me in the heart.

CIA created the Taliban. It is a fact. Then USA invaded Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan etc, US Army killed millions of people, tens of millions became refugees. Poverty, hunger and suffering make people embittered. This is the main reason. If Saddam and Gaddafi were alive, then ISIS would not exist and millions of refugees would not go to Europe.

Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Just listen to what you are saying! Your are saying that the best solution to the barbarity in Islam is if the world record holder in number of civilians killed in a single chemical weapons attack (Saddam) were in power! Wow. What does that say about Islam!?

Obviously the best solution is for Modern Secular Humanism to be embraced by Muslims - no 72-virgin reward for killing Infidels, no "river of wine", etc. reward to being a Jihadist, etc., no hatred of the "other" that all 3 main Abrahamic faiths teach. The Abrahamic faiths teach hatred - MSH has removed all hatred from it's writings, and only brings forward love and compassion.

    - - - Updated - - -

You conveniently avoided the question: "Please give us a number". Please give us a number - what % of terrorism would need to be committed by Muslims for you to condemn Mohammad? I say 27%. What say you?

    - - - Updated - - -

    No, the Islamic texts did.

It's a fact? If it's a fact what is your overwhelming evidence? Now if you really want facts and if you care to stop parroting left-wing blogs you should carefully read the following but I doubt you will.

Way to go in completely ignoring the theory that YOU posited just a few pages back. I'll take that as a stubborn refusal to admit defeat.

When is the world going to finally be fed up with faith - just how many faith-inspired terrorist attacks need to occur before people stand up and say "enough is enough!"? He screamed out his invisible friend in the sky's name while committing this attack, so of course faith is to blame.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yes, he almost seems to believe that REAGAN is more to blame for Islamic terrorism than Islam/Mohammad is! Incredible!

No, GW Bush gave them a chance at Democracy/freedom, but Muslims blew it (by supporting ISIS and other non-democratic groups.) Muslims have no democratic role model in the Islamic texts. Mohammad/Jesus/Moses/God in the Abrahamic texts all approved of totalitarian political schemes (monarchies among those). Modern Secular Humanism preaches democracy (representative republics), so of course is better for the world than religions are.

    - - - Updated - - -

Goomba, will you condemn Mohammad (the terrorists' #1 role model of course) for saying "I have been made victorious through terror"? I do. If you won't, then please look in the mirror and say this "I am part of the problem". Some day you'll start to think like I do.

Here's what I will admit on Indonesia. They are not a Christian country with a large influx of Muslim immigrants, they are a Muslim country that still has terrorism between rival Muslim factions so comparing them to European countries or America is an apples oranges exercise. The only way I see that you can defend them not being tops on the domestic terrorism list is if you are implying that we should just surrender and convert to Islam in order to reduce terrorism. I would summarily reject that proposed solution so once again we are at loggerheads and there's no need to continue the conversation. It was worth a shot though.

I don't think that's it. The US warned the nightclub there would be a terrorist attack, and they took extraordinary precautions... even along the sea. The first thing the terrorist did was shoot the policeman at the door. I read that there might have been up to 800 revelers at the club.

On the bright side at least people are calling it a terrorist attack now. Maybe in the next 50 or so mass killings people will start wondering if maybe we should do at least something against terrorists besides feed and shelter them. Im all for extreme extermination of these filth but apparently Im in the wrong. It seems feeding and sheltering them is working out well for multiple countries.
Well at least trump will stop them from entering our country. Leaving us with only a few thousand or so terrorists obama let in that will no doubt carry out attacks again here as well. Nice job dems.

Whoa there, Slick!! Didn't you get the memo - Islam is a religion of peace, so I'm pretty sure this will be the very last Islamic terrorist attack for many years to come!!

However, if people believe that these Islamic terrorist attacks will just CONTINUE well into the future, with no end in sight, then of course it would be time to finally condemn faith once and for all.

No amount of security will protect us from people who are so delusional as to believe, for example, that "angels" (magic invisible people with wings - insane) are actually real. Disconnects from reality are the problem. Whether it's IRA terrorism, or Jihad terrorism - all caused, at least indirectly, by faith and hatred of the other (that religions teach.) You are not safe from faith until we eradicate it.

When my wife and I were having our coffee this morning I said to her," I almost hate to turn the news on and hear about whatever new year's terrorism there was while we slept". We live in strange times.

You predicted Islamic terrorism!! So either you have the world's best psychic powers, or Islam is a religion of violence. I'm leaning towards the latter.

PS just to be sure though, please give me tomorrow's winning Power Ball numbers. :)

This country was established on Christian laws and institutions, and that should never change by demographics or liberal pressure. What freaks me out is how Obama's mentor George Soros could support Muslim extremists at the same time that he supports liberal agendas when they are completely opposing ideologies.

The only thing they are in agreement with is their hatred of Christianity. This might also account for their hatred of Russia.
