Their contribution is less than my former subsidy and mine is $60 less than what I was paying. So, NO it's NOT Obama Care.

YES, it is Obamacare. You do understand the law, right? I mean, surely you understand the law that you are arguing against, right?

Correct, once the cat is out of the bag you can't just reverse course, not that it would be a practical disaster, since the uninsured have had several years to "get with the program" so its not like they haven't had several chances to enroll. From a public perspective, it would be disastrous if the plans terminate in any way. The alternative, whatever it is, has to be better on paper, more practical, and less expensive, good luck with that and MSM feedback with their lovely anecdotal stories. Not that the MSM has plans to be kind about the alternative whatever it might be anyway. The fact remains that it is a very very complex problem with expensive solutions, you still have to find adequate funding somehow.

Perhaps if the ACA is modified with improvements such as a buyback for lower OOP's, get more GOP gov's jumping on board for federal funding on medicaid expansion and you have a solid logical step forward but you still are guaranteed to fall well short of universal and affordable care, but you can most certainly get closer to the goal.

I've always felt that the fatal flaw with the ACA was the plan designs. From my POV it just oozes adverse selection. The majority of the people that sign up will be those that will likely receive a net positive.

Put all the vets on Medicare and turn the VA health care into health care for the poor.

Do you understand that "Obamacare" is a nickname given to it? The correct name is the Affordable Care Act and it has impact on everyone.

IMO, it will never be fully repealed. Changed, tweaked, areas gutted, sure.
But, he will be known as the prez who started the road to a different health care system in America. Whatever the outcome will be.

Why in the world would the Republicans deliver anything that the dems and 0 would wipe across their butts? You and I have no idea what the Republicans have in mind to replace o-care.

let's look at the facts. People did not get to keep their doctor, their policy and the cost has not gone down as 0 promised. Let your love for 0 twist those facts into a winning scenario for 0-care.

Some, if not all, of those will remain in any plan put forward. Up to 26? Depends on how the economy goes. My insurance company 12 years ago already had that in their plan. It was a nice to have for my then 19 yr old daughter who would've been on some form of gov't health care then.

Yes, some want all of America to succeed, while others, only their own little world.
And success means something different to each person.

Lol, yes it is. Every health insurance policy, whether group coverage through your employer, or individual policy purchased on the exchange, is governed by the ACA. So yes, your current policy is obamacare.

    - - - Updated - - -

Your insurance company may choose to keep the policy as is, or they may rewrite it since the ACA regulations wouldn't apply any more.

But your current policy is Obamacare.

The man is smarter than I thought. He knows that if Trump and Repubs come up with a replacement plan that makes people on welfare pay anything then the Demos will raise hell. Push come to shove we'll end up with singlepayer just like it was planned from the beginning. We don't have a real two party system in this country. It's all low brow drama for people who are easily entertained.

If you don't believe it then think about the fact that even before Trump takes office he has already backed off on getting rid of Obamacare totally. He will eventually settle for a replacement that is almost exactly the same except for tax free so called healthcare savings accounts. Big deal. Anybody with any sense saves money for a rainy day already any way. BFD.

QUOTE=Steve N;1066969120]What a slick move by Obama; he knows his healthcare law sucks, he's knows it's going down the drain, and instead of defending it, because he can't, he's going to let it fail and then blame democrats in Congress for not doing their part to save it.

There is no one in Obama's mind who's more important, more deserving or more sacred than himself. And if saving his failed presidency means he has to lay waste to current and future democrats, then so be it..[/QUOTE]

Odd.. What is it that you want Obama to do? The Republicans are in power now...let them repeal it or fix it or rewrite it.

When putrid Pelosi said (about ACA) 'we need to pass this, so we can find out what's in it', a physician said 'that's the definition of a stool sample'........can't get anymore accurate than that.

Would be nice if Obama had the balls to own up to having lied about it. "If you like your dr, you can keep your dr, if you like your plan, you can keep your plan'.......

And of course, he & family and their friends weren't obligated to be covered under Obamacare.

Obama said he was going stick around after his term is up to defend all the stuff he fought hard to get. But he knows Obamacare is unpopular and is going down so he doesn't want to attach his name to a losing battle, he's going to blame the remaining democrats for letting the GOP repeal it.

Replace it with what we had before. We can't afford to replace one freebie program with another freebie program. As I've said many times, Obama and liberals are touting a booming economy and low unemployment, so it should be no problem for people to get a job and buy their own insurance.....unless we were lied to.

Yes, every insurance policy is Obamacare complaint. That's why my 69 year old doctor had her plan cancelled, you know, just in case her bedridden 79 year old husband knocked her up. And it that happens I'll never hear about it because my insurance company dropped her.

So what will Obama be doing?

Sell another book he didn't write?
Golf, golf, more golf, and then some golf?
Help Moochelle get her Presidential campaign setup?
Take some position in the UN so he can continue to destroy America by use of that thug body?

Yup and as a citizen you have the right to choose,
and I think it's not right also if you are paying for another person's health insurance.
But the one we had before, if we are unemployed are we still covered?

Yes, but it will change. Your current employee based healthcare is Obamacare compliant, which makes it Obamacare.

I doubt that, they've had the best health plan choices in my area for the last 30 years.
