Trump berates CNN reporter: 'You are fake news'

Did you look at the update time and date from he original CNN article? The story has been changed. It originally linked to the memo's published on BuzzFeed. Now it links to an article published on CNN Money that was published after the original article. How do you link to a source that had not been written at the time of the original article. It is simple. CNN change the link, and you fell for it again.

 

He kind of did. Big deal he didn't take a 'when was the last time you beat your wife' question.

 

OP...It was disgusting. The reporter was very unprofessional. If it was me I'd have called secret service and had him thrown out.

 

450 reporters in the room, probably about 100 different news sources, CNN had already asked a question and you think its despicable that he didn't give CNN 2 questions? Bunch of whining about nothing.

 

I'll be honest, I thought after a few weeks of watching liberal meltdowns, it would stop being so entertaining. I couldn't have been more wrong.

 

Trump was right. Acosta was rude and intentionally provoking, trying to turn the nature of the press conference into a circus- trying to make news that could be turned into another assault on Trump by CNN- that is intentionally manipulating a situation.... actually creating fake news. Surprised he wasn't ejected for being a total jerk.

Access to presidential press conferences is by invitation- not open to all. If you can't behave, you don't deserve to be there, let alone get to ask questions. Hopefully Trump will just delete CNN from the list of invited news media in the future, or at a minimum ban reporter Acosta. They can watch some legitimate coverage from ABC or NBC, then write their own BS version.

CNN used to be my go-to news site. However as I've watched CNN during the election, twisting every story to have a negative Trump twist and letting that obsession dominate it's entire supposed purpose of reporting news... It was clear that it's intent was to strongly shift and create public opinion, rather than report facts so that people could make their own informed decisions. That is NOT journalism. Editorials are statements of opinion, News is plain fact- but editorial opinion disguised as news is another thing... fake news.

Some days, 80% or more of their stories were based on that. That is not what journalists do- it is what propaganda agencies do. This was their choice, to abandon the profession and become hacks. To oppose someone is not wrong- to become a team of flamers with bullhorns and a personal agenda is. CNN is guilty.

I LMAO'd when I heard it. I cut CNN off about 2004 with all the anti-Bush garbage and I only turn them on now for plane crashes and major events. When the shooting in Lauderdale occurred I had to do the xfinity voice thing to find CNN on my channel lineup because I honestly had no idea what channel it was on.

 

If he did embarrass CNN, he did it in the least efficient way possible. And we have no way of knowing what CNN would have asked. Trump wussed out on the question.

The question would be why would their question have any real value? If they are no better now than E Entertainment interviews, who cares?

 

The story is all over the news today without the question, so mission accomplished. Hard to offend me, I don't need a safe space.

Because an unnamed source says he wasn't while others say he was? At worst it's in dispute if he was handed it or just told about it. Either way the intel agencies thought it worth bringing up.

 

The reporter was trying to force the President-Elect to take a question from him. It was rude. He invited what he got. He should be replaced if CNN wants to report. They, however, do not. They wanted that reaction. They didn't want a question answered.

 

Don't all reporters shout at the president until he picks one?

Yes, but once a reporter is picked, they almost always have the courtesy to quite down allow that reporter to proceed.

The CNN reporter did not do this. He continued to interrupt and loudly demand that HE be allowed to ask a question. He forced Trump to confront his rudeness. Trump never yelled or lost his cool. He simply told the guy he wasn't going to be recognized.

How else do you handle a petulant child who won't follow instructions??

Now you're just making (*)(*)(*)(*) up. While CNN did update the article many times, they never changed the link to go from buzzfeed to the CNN page it goes to now.

The original story had no mention of buzzfeed at all. At some point, CNN added a mention about buzzfeed and linked to another CNN article, not buzzfeed.

Your claim that CNN changed the link from buzzfeed to another CNN article is BS. Anyone can utilize the Internet Wayback Machine website to see all of the updates CNN made to that page...
