During the campaign we heard repeatedly that it just wasn't possible for a candidate to win without the Hispanic vote. That's why Trump was going to lose and lose BIG. I'm sure they wanted so badly for that to be true, but not according to the Census Bureau. Between 2010 and 2014 The percentage of the population White alone went from 72.4% to 77.4% for a full 5% increase. Blacks went from 12.6% to 13.2%, an increase of 0.6%. Latino's went from 16.3% to 17.4% for an increase of 1.1%. Asians went from 4.8% to 5.4% for a total of 0.6%. Let Jethro cipher for ya. 0.6% + 1.1% +0.6% = after the gazinta's it comes out to 2.3% which is less than half the growth for whites only at 5%.

I only wish I had been there to see the look on their faces when Trump won. I'm sure that was only eclipsed by the looks on their faces today when Trump was sworn in. The meme that a candidate couldn't with without the Latino vote was exploded and went down like the Hindenburg. What they failed to understand is the legal immigrants who became citizens are also hurt by illegal immigration. Employers especially the smaller ones get the most benefit from hiring illegal workers. The savings just doesn't include lower wages and no benefits, it includes the cost of workers compensation insurance as well. Why would they hire legal workers when they can pocket the extra money by hiring illegals. I have said this a hundred times or more on this and other forums, we need to make eVerify MANDATORY for all current and prospective new hires. The same goes for Government benefits at all levels, current and prospective recipients. Then and only then will we truly be able to get a handle on illegal immigration. There is no real need for a wall.

Right, non Hispanic whites grew at 1% while white grew at 5...clearly the growth is primary white hispanics. Hell I made 2 of them personally between 2014 and 2016

But GOP voters have told us REPEATEDLY that hispanics can't be white during the Zimmerman case. Thus...the true population of "whites" is...61.6%. In fact, it's probably lower when you consider that it includes brown skinned toned Italians and Greeks. And again, conservatives told us Zimmernan is NOT white because he has a brown skin tone. I'm just playing by the rules conservatives have set over the years.

Very True. Hispanics are great for Democrats to use to run up the popular vote, but they don't swing must have States. Blacks on the other hand, very much do. The Black vote is very important, the Hispanic vote is unimportant.

Yeah. CO has gone Dem for 3 elections in a row and by 5 in 2016. It has 9 ECV votes and will likely pick up another after the 2020 census.

AZ has only gone Blue one time since 1952. It has 11 ECV now and will likely have 12 after 2020. I think Hillary wasted her time in AZ, time that would have been better spent in WI, MI and PA.

NM only goes GOP if the GOP is already well on their way to well past 270. So of your group, CO is certainly the most likely to decide an election. The amount of improvement that the GOP would have to make to win by the Hispanic vote is simply never going to happen. The amount of improvement the GOP has to make in the Black vote, is very achievable.

Democrats have lost the country, only holding the coastal strips. That with a near super-human effort by Black voters can still secure them 270. Democrats have always treated Blacks like crap. First when they ran the Plantations and now again in the inner cities they control. Their entire Hispanic and Muslim outreach is an effort by them to replace Blacks as their sole coalition on which their success rides. But as Democrats franticaly woo the Muslims and the Hispanics, Blacks are waking up to the fact that they are once again getting openly screwed by Democrats, despite the very best service Blacks can give them.

Time to join the GOP in Post-Racial America. TIME to restore the 14th Amendment!

 

Likely that will change in Colorado when the sanctuary city money is removed, more likely the Hispanics will head to California or Illinois where the Mayors and Governors will tax the hell out of the residents to pay for it.
