Then they can kiss goodbye to a whole lot more in return. Mexico has a lot more to lose than we do.

Are you saying that England is descending into fascism?

I have no idea either, but if that is what Mexico has as a bargaining chip they should ante up with it. Become a terrorist supporting state and they won't have anyone to trade with.

Mexico will turn to China, and China will welcome them. Yes, a very smart move in the chess of geopolitics indeed. And at the same time, Trump scraps the TPP, allowing China to extend its influence in the pacific.

I don't get this.. Why are you at the same time making an enemy of china, and also helping them enormously?

Well if it won't stop drugs, it won't stop illegals either. So that's $10 billion tax dollars (and counting), down the crapper then.

I believe the sentiment is mutual.

Nieto knows he has no leverage. This is just a political move on his part. He won't physically go but will probably have a telephone conference begging Trump not to tell.

Well, the man-child Trump certainly put Nieto in a tough spot in what has to go down as the most ridiculous piece of diplomacy ever. The idiot-in-chief actually sends out a tweet saying - "If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting" with Enrique Peña Nieto, Trump wrote on Twitter. Hello - what did anyone expect Nieto to do after this piece of supreme idiocy.

I'm guessing this Trump turd won't last 3 years before he resigns or is impeached. He is nothing but a bombastic buffoon.

If the meeting was pointless, then who cares? Now Trump can simply just move forward. Mexico simply stands no chance in a trade war of any level. They are in a lose lose situation. Sucks for them, but the only alternative is to allow thier immigrants to continue flooding into America.

Isn't the president of Mexico akin to the queen of England? gets to wave in parades and collect big paycheck?

No, you must be thinking about the man-child, Donald Trump. He really likes parades and events where people show up to see him - he has kind of a warped fixation about these things, something about numbers and ratings, LOL.

Oh, you know. You claimed that nationalism leads to fascism. Given Brexit and the attitude behind it, I just figured you must have been well on your way.

I just had a really good laugh at the idea of Mexico "helping to fight drug smuggling and stopping illegals". The freakin cartels ARE the government of Mexico.

There is no wishing involved. Mexico has zero leverage.

I'm sure Madonna can help El Presidente of Mexico work on his posturing with some how to "Vogue" classes.

I am pretty sure he does what the drug cartels tell him to do.

All the rest of the people who guaranteed Trump couldn't win are saying the same thing.

Even if we assume you are right, how would it be a wise move for us to put him in that situation? I think trump is waaaaay out of his element here.

Chopped liver has just illustrated for us the limits of Trumps analytical skills. Bravo sir!
