I could say let the UN handle it, the requirement of a non partisan third party is a must. There's a contention between KSA and Iran now for influencing the Arab states, Russia don't want Qatari oil flowing into Syria going to Europe and they have Naval base in Syria, and the Turks is having a problem with the Kurds who are fighting now also in Syria. These apparent interests will always undermine the true needs of Syria and will surely superimpose it.

This scenario also make the situation in Syria more complicated.

How effective these think tanks are? The only thing they do is get money for doing nothing. How many effective recommendations or ways to resolve the Syrian crisis did they propose?

After Libya and Yemen, the same applies to Obama and Hillary.

The United States has warned that Russia’s continued blanket use of its UN veto will jeopardise the security council’s long-term legitimacy and could lead the US and like-minded countries to bypass it as a decision-making body.

The warning comes as the UN reaches its 70th anniversary and the security council faces a crisis caused by its paralysis over Syria. It has failed to agree concerted action to try to stem the bloodshed, even after more than 220,000 Syrians have died and more than 11 million have been forced from their homes.

Vetoed! What's wrong with the UN security council – and how it could do better

Russia has used its veto powers four times to block resolutions on Syria that Moscow sees as damaging to its ally, the regime of Bashar al-Assad. It has also forestalled common action on Ukraine where it is a party to the conflict, having annexed Crimea and pursued a covert military campaign in support of eastern separatists.

    Russia prevented it,
    #very bad.

The Council's only idea was making Assad to leave. NOTHING else. There were no proposals to fight ISIS, nothing about help to Syrians. Only "terrible" Assad who is to blame. Why they didn't mention USA that is in charge of creation ISIS? Double standards in action. They don't blame fellows.

Who told you it's true? What about White Helmets in Syria 'saving people from Assad bombs'? Didn't you see they operate only in areas controlled by Nusra, use the same women and children each time to cover with flour and 'rescue' them numerous times and always publish footage of their great things? They firstly appeared in Aleppo, where the so-called 'opposition' was believed to be, but in fact almost all the opposition members are terrorists. It's quite convenient to have an opportunity to change colors when necessary, right? And now the WH 'save' people in Idlib, where all the militants were evacuated from Aleppo. The Hollywood-2. And the whole story about killed school boys and their families was a great fake.

Isn't it fair to veto the issues you aren't agree with? the US never suffered from the lack of vetoing the initiatives it didn't like. Moreover, Washington forced other states to support it! Geopolitical situation is complicated enough as the world is divided into spheres of influence between the US, Russia, China and they don't allow each other to interfere with their affairs there. And now the UN (read US/NATO) are trying to stop Russia from doing its job in the Middle East.

ISIS appear in that Syrian scene only after the civil war was full blown when the situation is ripe. UN asked Assad to step down by which they conclude could end the conflict by peaceful means but Assad opted to sacrifice the Syrian people than stepping down and even made the conflict complicated dragging other nations into the fray including ISIS. Assad thinks of himself as more important compared with the millions of Syrians.

Then how much do you think Innocent Syrians suffered and died because of the Russian veto?

Do you indeed believe the US warning sent to Russia to stop using its right to veto the aggression against other states is normal for the international political relations? The US acts like a boss but doesn't want to take the realities that it is not anymore. Its obsolete.
So, do you know the current number of killed innocent people killed when NATO bombed Yugoslavia or Iraq? The Yugoslav operation was launched without the UN Security Council mandate as Russia vetoed the initiative to attack this Balkan state. US/NATO aggression against Iraq was also started without hardly ever looking at the UN SC's protest. These 2 are examples of the aggression against the states and their rulers who the US doesn't like. In Syria Assad officially asked Russia for help and now it is operating against terrorists who kill Innocent Syrians as most of them are radical islamists and mercenaries from almost 90 states. Nevertheless, the so-called 'coalition' started to bomb the Syrian territory with no asking or permission. Is it a respect to the other state? And I believe if there was no Russian airforce, the coalition jets would have attacked Damascus for sure. It is obvious that Russia's forces became an obstacle for the US aggression there.

So what's the result when Russia denied US request? more innocent lives saved? is it productive?
The bombing stops the Bosnian genocide as I could remember.

The children and toddlers struck and dismembered by Russian bombs and missiles in Syria are radical Islamists?,
    hmmm, something's wrong there.

There was no US aggression, it is the responsibility of the Syrian to depose their tyrant aided by Russia, the US simply aided the oppressed Syrian to topple their loathed leader.

You mean the US has stopped the genocide in the Balkans and now is helping the the Syrians? Nope.
    1) The US gathered Albanians (Muslims) in Kosovo region (Christian) of Yugoslavia (mostly Christian), and when there was enough Muslims the Albanians kicked off a rally saying they're under suppressed by the Yugoslav gov't and so created a casus belli for NATO to start a massacre and later destroy Yugoslavia as it was a socialistic republic (read 'US enemy')
    2) The Syrians never asked the US for help, it just came to Syria, and even not alone but with its allies, and started devastating their country, help Qaeda/ISIS/Nusra terrorists and so-called 'armed opposition' to kill innocent people and transport Syrian oil to N.America
Open your eyes and see what's really going on there but not what your mainstream media is telling you.

Once there is autonomy between the ideals of the religious in the middle east and those that create laws then and only then will there be a settlement for peace. As Americans who post on this forum we all know that the separation of church and state is a vital tenet in our national guidelines whilst also upholding ones right to a particular religion. Keywords like "Radical Islamic" are used to describe who is the enemy. Their own super religious doctrines and practices are keeping them in the dark ages of civilized society. As said on "Real Time with Bill Maher", you draw a picture of Jesus and no one gets killed, you try the same with the prophet Muhammad then there is a riot.

Nevertheless, a number of states (generally in the Middle East) have been secular but after some internal developments they became mostly Islamic and the life has changed there (Iran, Syria are spectacular examples). And now the world may witness Syria getting back to secularity as conflict sides are working on the new constitution based on Russia-proposed document with no 'Arab' in the name of the state.

Ok, you don't believe Russia's main aim is to help Syrians. But another round of talks will be held in Astana AGAIN. Not Geneva...They are looking for solutions, aren't they?

I think Assad somehow made some amendments,
It's better that he should think about the plight of his country and not so dependent with the questionable Russian government.

If he will emerge as too dependent with Russia, then he will become one potent Russian puppet a slave of their demands, quite no good in terms of Syrian interests.

My leader is my Lord but not anyone in the world. Why did you decide my leader is killing people to prosper Russian economics? Hahah :roflol:
By the way, I said nothing about RT as don't support its policy.
You look rather odd accusing me, dude. Chill the sh** out.

It actually looks like this war was started by Saudi Arabia and Iran fighting a proxy war for turf in the Middle East. Of course the benefits for Radical Islam from this Saudi-Iranian proxy war, is that Radical Jihadists can spread throughout the Western World under the cloak of refugees.

Saudi Arabia had NOTHING to do with the war in Syria.

    Here's Syria's old Constitution .

    http://carnegie-mec.org/diwan/50255?lang=en

I don't think the Assads ever followed the constitution. The country was under martial law for 48 years.

Saudi Aradia have been funding the Syrian rebels and ISIS within Syria to overthrow Assad. Iran has been funding and suppporting Assad. So what we have is a proxy war representative of the Islamic Sunni-Shia divide. As I said, Saudi Arabia and Iran started this proxy civil war in Syria.
