    Zizek's analysis of Trump as a false radical is spot-on. While Trump himself is a detestable man, he is very much as dishonest as any other politician. Those who honestly believe that Trump is authentic are either incredibly naive or overestimate how obscure their own opinions are. There's a massive group of middle aged conservatives who will support anyone they believe to be as loudly prejudiced as they are. He's tapping into that audience.

    "There's a massive group of" thoughtless people who clap unabashedly whenever Zizek makes an irrational speech, or, panders his ideology.
