Well, I may have to agree with our pope. Because the pope is spot on about one major point --- no one can fool God. And many Bible verses cautions the believer time and again. And He said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from me.’ “ Mark 7:6 Not that any atheist should relax either. Somehow, some way people need to do an honest and vigorous search. They need to see the evidence for God. They need to comprehend we will not cease to exist when we die. They really need to come to the knowledge that heaven and hell and purgatory are absolutely real. Pope Francis is bold and unconcerned about how his own people look upon him. He cares not of bishops or cardinals or orthodox believers or even progressive Catholics. His concern for the poorest among us, the oppressed and abandoned is paramount. That is most honorable. But do I disagree with him on some grave matters? Yes, definitely. He is too critical of Europe or Americans for not wanting to take the risk with middle eastern muslim migrants. We KNOW most of them are good people, but we also know extremist Islam is at war with the West and with Christianity and will take every opportunity to murder us and destroy us. I do not believe God expects us to increase our risks of having that happen, especially when it is most apparent we are now at war. Pope Francis needs to back off on that ill-advised "crusade" of his. IMO
He's also an unfeeling moron. Anyone who chastises people who want to build a wall to at the very least slow down illegal immigration while he hides behind a wall we could only dream about has no business speaking as Pope. For him apathy is strong for anyone who doesn't agree with his politics.
