It's called censorship - and it's the tool of dictators, not American Presidents. It's pathetic. It's petty B*ll S**t.
It's an affront to the First Amendment.

    - America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours."

    - From "The American President".

This is YUGE! What is the point or purpose of blocking out select news media except to try and control the narrative, to bully the news into agreeing with the Duce?

Trump really does think he is Putin. This is very bad.

Dude - the teachers of the 60' and 70's have all retired or are dead - it's YOU who are demonizing teachers TODAY, comrade.

What a hoot! Trump doesn't invite a couple news organizations to a meeting and once again the left cries dictator, fascist, unconstitutional. They have the most selective memory, Obama had meeting that restricted access to liberal media. http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2017/02/24/fake-news-media-outrage-white-house-exclusion/ Obama used the IRS to harass conservative groups and he arrested journalists. Trump has done nothing that would restrict those journalist who were not invited to go back to their desks and print another hack job. Maybe if they wouldn't call Trump Hitler every other day they might be invited next time.

Nice downplaying, and nice citation of a fake news outlet to support your position.

Trump can't be given the boot soon enough.

The teachers and professors of today have been indoctrinated by the cultural-marxist professors during the late 1950's and 1960's in our colleges and universities.

The counter-culture red leftist ( SDS and the terrorist Weather Underground...splinter groups of the CPUSA) didn't adopt Alinskyism and cultural-marxism until the failure and last act to overthrow the U.S. government on the streets of America in 1969, "The Days of Rage" in Chicago that failed. The results of the failure led to the big meeting of the counter-culture leftist activist (SDS, Weather Underground, Black Panthers, CPUSA, SNCC ( Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee ) and they adopted Alinskyism and cultural-marxism. To over throw capitalism and the American government, the American culture, customs, traditions and language from with in. By getting radical leftist loons elected to public office and by indoctrinating our children in our public schools, colleges and universities to be PC snowflakes.

The reason polls show people don't believe the FAKE NEWS peddlers anymore is because 60% of Americans didn't buy the 'Russian hacking' BS, and so they don't buy MOST corp. media crappola anymore.

Most people are smart enought to recognize the corp. media 'divide and conquer' agenda.

CNN - a fixture of THE SHADOW GOVERNMENT ...

[ thanks to the Clintons 1996 Telecom Act ]

The 6 corporation monopoly press needs to broken up by the U.S. Government.

How has he outlawed the free press? Is not any press organization not allowed in the WH press corps thereby having their rights violated? Or is the NYT just special?

Typical, can't dispute the link so dismiss it. That way it doesn't take any thinking at all. The info there goes to links to MSM articles so let's see you dispute them.

They are so use to having no more than one conservative organization at press conferences that having more than one constitutes some sort of aberration of free speech.

I have made a couple of blog posts and did not receive an invitation to this White House Press Briefing either. Have they violated my First Amendment rights? No, the Trump Administration should give CNN a participation trophy to help ease their disappointment for being losers, and just move on.

Get all the news media together and hold a daily press conference with Bernie Sanders on the White House lawn.
He's the president they conspired to rob us of after all.

When I watched him during his electioneering speeches he always came across as a bit unhinged.

Actually that's reminded me . . . so did David Cameron. [IMG]

    Ironic!

Given that the Derider-in-Chief never misses an opportunity to be rude he can dish it out but he obviously cannot take it!

    Sad!

The dictators of the 1920's and 1930's were elected on waves of nationalism, much like Trump was.

The extreme Left always does stir up nationalism. It's exactly what Pinochet was up against when he tried to save Chile. In other words, extreme Left begets extreme Right. Career liberals can't seem to grasp that.

I think it's great for the media to challenge authority, but I also think the media has a responsibility to it's audience. Ultimately the media has just 2 options; either they grow their audience by relaying accurate and valuable information or they cultivate a smaller audience with tendentious information that confirms its views. Apparently major media has opted for the latter, the question is whether this is a good "business model", whether cultivating a smaller audience with tendentious information will profit media like those banned more than reporting accurately for everyone would.

lol It would seem to be the case. But The Donald comes across as presidential. Unorthodox he may be, but presidential all the same.

Can you link to a story from CNN that includes an "outright lie"?

From my perspective, there have been a lot of stories on CNN that are unflattering of the president, but I have not seen anything that is factually incorrect. Some stories that are based on unnamed sources, but that has been the case in journalism for decades.

Trump, on the other hand, DOES lie. He repeatedly says things that are simply untrue. That is verifiable.

His response to unflattering stories and the reporting of his untruths is that he, without any apparent irony, calls the media stories "fake news". They are not. He attacks them in order to minimise the impact of his own lies.

The real problem is that his supporters are so partisan that they simply lap up his rhetoric, no matter how outrageous it is. They just don't care if what he says is true or not. If he says it, they will believe him.

Going too far? Not at all. Until someone answers the question about the list of fake news items that has been provided in an article within The Federalist, I will continue to ask why President Trump should do anything other than what he is doing.

    • Early November: Spike in Transgender Suicide Rates
    • November 22: The Tri-State Election Hacking Conspiracy Theory
    • December 1: The 27-Cent Foreclosure
    • January 20: Nancy Sinatra’s Complaints about the Inaugural Ball
    • January 20: The Nonexistent Climate Change Website ‘Purge’
    • January 20: The Great MLK Jr. Bust Controversy
    • January 20: Betsy DeVos, Grizzly Fighter
    • January 26: The ‘Resignations’ At the State Department
    • January 27: The Photoshopped Hands Affair
    • January 29: The Reuters Account Hoax
    • January 31: The White House-SCOTUS Twitter Mistake
    • January 31: The Big Travel Ban Lie
    • February 1: POTUS Threatens to Invade Mexico
    • February 2: Easing the Russian Sanctions
    • February 2: Renaming Black History Month
    • February 2: The House of Representatives’ Gun Control Measures

The article goes in depth into each of these fake news incidents, and concludes by saying the following:

The Disruptor in Chief, anti-establishment candidate which we've placed in office is asking to be covered fairly. Those who refuse to do so need not be invited to news briefings; there is absolutely no requirement on a President or his administration to do so.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better.

Yes. And who is it that is completely demonizing this President? Just say'n...

It would seem our Constitution no longer matters in the minds of our President, his staff, his followers, and apparently the Republican establishment. I weep for what we once were and could have been, all I can say to those celebrating this would be:

I think you're in for a big surprise - a positive big surprise and not a negative one. Just be patient and give the man some time.
