Israelis have a country, including borders.

Palestinians have a count including borders.

This is NOT a difficult problem.

Israel needs to stay within its borders and Palestine must have the right to govern all of Palestine. And, that includes prosecution for lawlessness.

There is absolutely nothing unusual about that.

Israeli security (IDF) points to Abbas as their key partner in security.

Israel prevents Abbas from operating in Gaza and works hard to keep the government of Gaza separate and firmly in control of Hamas. Nevertheless, remember that Hamas has stated that Israel is permanent, and their objective is to live in peace beside Israel.

Also, remember that Israel has been waging continuous war against Gaza for a DECADE. Gaza's rockets are ridiculously minor compared to the force being used by Israel.

 

When the Palestinians act civil, they'll be treated as equals.

That would be genocide - something nobody here has charged Israeli with doing, as far as I know.

 

The league of nations determined the borders, the British administered the land after the Ottomans were defeated in ww1. The people who lived there were not imported, deported or moved there from anywhere else. They had agriculture and grew crops, exporting fruit and vegetables and related products. In 1967 before the war the Palestinians were producing about the same amount of produce as Israel, afterwards the Israelis stifled the production in Palestine and vetoed trade across borders.

The thing is, Abbas has been considered by the IDF as their primary partner in peace for more than a couple decades now.

How long must Palestinians be disenfranchised and have their property stolen before it is recognized that they have a right to vote for their government, to own their property, to live in safety against foreign powers?

 

And then outsiders moved in who happened to have ruined Temples in place.

These outsiders then were so much better at making the use of the land that they soon overcame all obstacles, including wars against them, to prosper in this strange land with their ruined Temples.

It's a story with a happy ending.

Gaza and Israel are at war.

The problem there is that Israel will not enter negotiations of ANY kind, not even just for ceasefire. And, Israel continues their war.

Israel has prevented Gaza from being policed by the government of Palestine. As long as Israel insists that such will not happen, guess what? It's not likely to happen.

That war will continue for exactly as long as Israel decides it wants to continue that war. It very clearly makes NO difference what Palestine does - in fact, as mentioned, Israel works to perpetuate the current situation.

Maybe it's because if they allowed a resolution, it would result in Israel's theft of Palestinian oil/gas resources being at risk. And, of course, it would likely put pressure on Israel to stop ethnic cleansing in West Bank.

 

Who was it that said, Arabs have done much worse to Palestinians than Israel would have ever do? Do you recall?
