Do Republicans "really" want to know the truth?

He did a masterful job of summarizing the Republicans on the committee today over the hearing about wiretaps, and the possible Russian collusion with the Trump administration. I just have a few questions of my own, that I feel, that in order to move forward, we need to understand better the Republican party and what they really care about?

Unbeknownst to us all, it was revealed that the CIA and the FBI were in fact conducting an investigation into Russia and the Trump administration and had been doing so since early summer. And after that shocking news, the Republicans were surprisingly silent for the most part. Why? I have to wonder, as O'donnell so keenly picked up on, why no questions about Flynn by Republicans. You know, as to why did Flynn lie? Why did Trump not do anything about Flynn for two to three weeks after Trump found out about Flynn lying, then openly praised Flynn and said he was treated unfairly? "Treated unfairly"? Treated unfairly by who? By the one's who found out that he lied? How come the committee has never asked the question as to why Trump never said anything about Flynn until he had to?The point is, why have the Republicans not asked these important questions? Why today did they focus on the leaks about Flynn instead of why Flynn got caught lying to begin with? They were more focused on leaks instead of foraging for the answers to the lies by Flynn.

I just have to ask; what do Republicans really stand for? They obviously have little interest in the truth, because so far, foraging and getting to that truth has rested mostly on Democrats. Bottom line, Republicans have not asked the important questions and they have been all but MIA in caring about these questions. So why is that?

First of all, Trump used Clausewitz for his campaign playbook. Cory Lewandowski came up with it to specifically confront Jeb Bush.
The Democrats initially had no answer for this as most liberal intellects dropped Clausewitz decades ago from most academia curriculum in spite of the genius of Clausewitz.

So to answer your question, the Democrats decided to throw a foreign enemy into the mix to try to diffuse the success that Trump was enjoying with the Nationalistic emphasis.
To be honest, it was a total shot in the dark. In reality you can only counter Clausewitz effectively by using a legitimate enemy.
The Russian collusion scandal just wasn't believable since Podesta and company were so intertwined with Sberbank.
And Obama cut a deal with Putin to turn his head while the Russians built their new pipeline into the Crimea.
Natural gas can flow both ways on that pipeline and the deposits under the Black Sea are huge.

The Republicans are simply just waiting it out until the closure of the investigations because they know that the longer the time frame is
the more likely they will hold on to the Democrats who crossed over in the election.

Hint... the Senate Intelligence Committee interviewed the FISA judge behind closed doors last Wednesday afternoon, March 15th.

There are no, or very few, Democrats who crossed over in the election. Cons got the numbers they did because every single one of the alt.right who had ever existed came out of the woodwork to vote for Trump, conversely, the majority of Hillary's supporters stayed home, and she still won, though not by enough to overcome the lock that Republicans have on rural voters

 

It's not exactly top secret that Anthony Podesta (John Podesta's brother) has a lobbying firm but that does not confirm or prove that Hillary Clinton would have lifted sanctions on Russia. She would not have. In fact, Putin hates Clinton, which is one of the other reasons why there was interference within our election process from Russia...

 

So when I said it went back to the summer I was called every insult in the book by your ilk. What has come of this investigation? Nothing

They don't want to know the truth. They have their dream situation now with controlling all of government and want to maximize it to implement their antisocial agenda to destroy government for everything except the war machine. They are not letting some pesky inconvenient truths about their leader get in the way of the real agenda.

Dems need to do a post mortem as to why they lost and the media is a big part of it. They lied to you over and over and yet you STILL believe everything they tell you. Sad...

 

"Do Republicans "really" want to know the truth?" - good lord no! This is the last thing they want. It is the reason Trey Gowdy and crew put the emphasis on jailing journalists at yesterday's hearing. It was extraordinary as we found out two things:

1. On election day, November 8, there was only one candidate being investigated by the FBI - Donald J. Trump. Imagine what the difference might have been if the electorate knew officially that: a) Clinton was not under investigation & b) Donald Trump and his campaign WERE being investigated by the FBI.

2. Of course Trump lied when he sent out the 4 infamous tweets on a Saturday morning, March 4, falsely accusing President Obama of wiretapping him & Trump tower. The moronic buffoon and his crew are the biggest group of pathological liars to ever occupy the White House. Absolutely incredible........

 

Don't kid yourself. The fact that there has been an investigation for months with no evidence to support the accusation that Trump coordinated with the Russians makes it seem more and more likely there was no collusion and the Democrats are freaking out over nothing, and no, the Democrats don't "forage" for the truth, give me a break.

How do you know there has been no evidence obtained?
Do you have knowledge of classified information that the rest of us don't?
Who leaked that information to you?

Comey did say this could be a long investigation.

 

Trump won Ohio by 10 points.
But the real proof is when you do a micro-analysis of the greater Philadelphia area.
You had voter registration changes in Pennsylvania that provided Trump's margin of popular votes.

Trump went after these long neglected blue collar Democrats. And the longer the Democrats play the, "Russian Card," the more likely they will stay.

And the Republicans in general are simply going to concentrate on the leaked information. The House Intelligence Committee is a show and tell gallery.
However, Tom Cotton, John Cornyn and James Lankford are the Senators to watch on the Senate intelligence Committee.
Dianne Feinstein looked visibly upset when she walked out of their closed door meeting last Wednesday. She knows there will be consequences.

 

As one who lives in the Philadelphia region (Montgomery County, work in Philly), I have to agree. In my home community I KNEW most of the voters I see going through the polls that day. (I'm a Republican committee rep.) I know a lot of them had absolutely no tolerance for Hillary. And a good number of them surprised me (known Democrats) with how vehement they were about not supporting her.
On Election Night after the polls closed, as we sat around the bar drinking for free(!), and the Networks continued to refuse to name a winner in PA, I just nodded my head and realized we were going to see something quite remarkable.

 

Have you ever heard of Mossad and thought about which country would benefit the most from a Clinton defeat?
And in which foreign election were Obama and Clinton openly involved in?

 

Why don't you explain it using one of the bat crap crazy conspiracy theory links. And make sure it's one that also led the charge on the prostitution pizza parlor story because that would really prove the integrity of the source.

 

Since July and still Democrats have zero proof of any collusion, correct? I really want the Republicans to aggressively pursue these treasonous Democrat leaders. Lock them up ! Please.
