If the intelligence services produce "strong evidence" that Flynn colluded with the Russians it would be strong evidence that Flynn was colluding with Obama/Clinton. Surely you know that.

Sure... It was an example of programs that benefit Trump's base which he is cutting funding for.

But I definitely don't need anybody to listen who ponders on a measly example because they can't address the point.

He is cutting funding for a program that supports about 5,000 of Meals on Wheels employees. This program is NOT part of MOW. It is a separate federal program. MOW is NOT a federal program. Trump can't cut funding for a non federal program. He is in no way cutting anything from MOW. You left/anti Trump people try and make everything sound worse then it really is.

Meals on Wheels America disagrees with you. But that's irrelevant! It's just an example. Use whatever example you damn please! But if you are responding to my post, respond to my point. If you have no response to my point than man up (or woman up) and say so! Don't hide behind something superfluous

I was talking about evidence that TRUMP colluded, not Flynn. As far as Flynn/Obama are you conflating colluding with investigating?

There will be no evidence of collusion. If there was any it would have been released before Obama left office..
The notion that there is evidence that Flynn colluded with Russia is absurd for obvious reasons.

The FBI and the intelligence agencies seem to believe that there is evidence. But... what do they know compared to a full fledged Trump supporter, right?

I think the right-wing's arguments are getting more juvenile by the minute, as Sean Spicer demonstrated today.

All past Presidents made money off being President but how many have given their salaries to charity? Wait until the end of the year to see if he does give the money to charity. How many Presidents divested themselves of their companies before taking on the job? We saw Trump do it on the news and he didn't even have to because it is not required by law. If Trump was to do everything Obama did as President you guys would still hate him because he is not your choice. So just get over it and prepare for 2020 election.

What hypocrisy for what passes for the "Left" to champion the FBI targeting of domestic political opposition for clandestine surveillance.

“While restraint such as these have come and gone over the past half century, a more formal and enduring body of curbs on political and social movements in opposition to the status quo has flourished in the form of a system of political intelligence immune to changes in political climate, judicial scrutiny, executive or congressional control. Largely extralegal, autonomous, and clandestine, this political police system has monitored dissent with ever increasing intensity since the end of World War I.” The Age of Surveillance, The Aims and Methods of America's Political intelligence System, Frank J. Donner, Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., New York, 1980. p. 3.

You have become unmoored from your own history. Read.

The infuriation on the left is just one more delicious reason to stay on the Trump train. The most enjoyable thing about the Trump train, for me, so far, is who it pisses off. I'm loven' every minute of it.

Trump divested himself from his company? He has made several trips to his hotel taking security staff with him and charging the tax payers money that goes directly to one of his companies he owns. He is also charging the tax payers for USSS staying in Trump Tower. How is that divesting himself! I would not be surprised if he charges the tax payers to pay for him staying in his own hotel

The FBI? I thought it was Obama.

Oh, I see how this works... so whoever Trump wakes up disliking any particular day, that's who the alt-right is going to accuse of some hideous imaginary crime .

Trump hasn't divested at all... When his family is running his businesses, the same family members now having offices in the White House he still has direct ties to his business. I wonder who gets his business after he leaves the White House... Hmm... let me think... HE DOES.

    In addition the Emoluments Clause

    Article I of the Constitution.

“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

As Trump will inherit is business from his children when he leaves office, and his business are international, any money received to Trump industries during his Presidency is in violation of the emoluments clause. Therefor, he is illegally making money, because he can be influenced by other nations, the whole reason these words were added to the constitution.

If Trump came out and supported green energy and combating climate change - I would support it. If Trump came out and told the Republicans to fix the ACA instead of starting over - I would support that. If Trump came out and increased the budget to the NIH so that our universities can continue doing ground breaking medical research - I would support that. If Trump came out and said he wasn't building a ****ing retarded ass wall, because I don't know, it's ****ing pointless - I would support that. If Trump had half of the class of Obama - I would support him. Republicans need to get over themselves and stop saying liberals don't like Trump just because we lost in the election. Hell I'm glad Hillary didn't win. Shocking fact for you, but I didn't like her either. I didn't like what the DNC did to Bernie. However, I voted for Hillary because Trump stands for everything I am against. He stand for racial hatred, for returning our country to the land dependent on oil instead of looking to the future with green tech, he stand for cutting funding for poor kids to get a meal at school, and for cutting meals on wheels a program not for those who are able bodied and lazy, but for our elderly and disabled. Those people who either gave this country 30+ years of works or want to give our country more but can't. I don't know about you but I can't support someone who is so hateful. Before Trump I thought the McCains, and Bush's were bad, and yes I complained about them, but I could find some good in them. Trump's ignorance makes me wish for another four years of Bush. So do liberals and I a favor and stop calling us cry-babies because we lost. Honestly, we don't ****ing care that Hillary lost. We are that we have an incompetent baffoon running our country who http://www.donaldtrumplovesrussia.com loves Russia more than our own country. Ohh, and he has way to many of the same qualities as Hitler. Red flag alert!

I don't think the left is championing the FBI to target Trump for "domestic political reasons." We want Trump to be investigated because there may have been collusion with Russia to win the election. Last time I read the U.S. Code, which was actually last night because I wrote an article http://www.donaldtrumplovesrussia.com/Blog/Trump-Impeachment/ , working with a foreign nation to influence American elections or policy, let alone an enemy of America, is treason. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. This is an American issue. Quite frankly, I do not know why the constitution carrying conservatives are not asking the same questions we are. Have you let petty "domestic political reasons" cloud your judgment because Trump is a conservative? We need to know if his campaign did collude with Russia. If they did and he is impeached, I don't really know why Republicans are frightened about what happens. The line of succession means that Paul Ryan (R) will become President. Although as a liberal I do not agree with Ryan on many ideological fronts, I know he is a true American and has not been influenced by Russia. I would be glad to call him MY President.

Why in the world would you want to hurt foreigners? That's a disconnect that I thought only hillary's campaign staff could come up with.

If two men are being chased by a bear, all one needs to do, to get away, is to out run the other man. As long as Trump can stay ahead of the type of brilliant insight your OP examples, he will do just fine with his supporters.

Nothing. trump and his family can fart (and worse) in their faces and his supporters will eat if all up. And smile as they do.

Why should I be enthusiastic and supportive for conservatives who want to do everything in their power to take money from the poor and middle classes and give it to billionaires and millionaires through excessive tax breaks? I'm not a billionaire nor millionaire, so conservative Republicans don't actually represent me or my interests in any way.

How are they taking money from those groups?

Also if we to play identity politics people would see the Democrats as the party of underdeveloped man children, crazy feminists, and welfare recipients that are busy taking money from the Middle and High class. Though in reality the Neo-Cons and the Progressives only differ in a few areas. Those being the companies they've invested into it.

The FBI has always operated as an arm of the USG/Political Class secret police. Surely you know that.

"Political intelligence is a by-product of diplomatic and military conflict, and despite its domestic providence, is marked by a similar hostility toward the intelligence target (itself a revealingly hostile term of art). Like its military model, even though the target is an American national engaged in lawful political activities in his own country, he is viewed in an adversary context. Life in a relatively open society, which boasts of its freedom, makes the target enormously vulnerable when his policies come under hostile investigation by a secret police unit with an anti-subversive Mission.” The Age of Surveillance, The Aims and Methods of America's Political intelligence System, Frank J. Donner, Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., New York, 1980. p. 4.

Do you think The Age of Surveillance is an "alt-right" source?

Oh, come off it - you know that spy agencies are not created to conduct criminal investigations. Read my posts - serious investigations require a grand jury. Intelligence agencies military and diplomatic tools.

Has the Left forgotten the ugly history of the use of clandestine secret police agencies against antiestablishment political opposition in America?

Last time I checked the FBI was not a "spy" agency. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is the domestic intelligence and security service of the United States, which simultaneously serves as the nation's prime federal law enforcement agency. Hmm... law enforcement agency... That sounds like they are cops on the federal level. Therefor, it is natural that they would be the agency involved in an investigation of this magnitude.

You make it out to be that if the FBI comes back with evidence that Trump is automatically guilty. However, to be impeached he first has to go through the House and then Senate (completely separate from the FBI), and then to face criminal trial for treason he will have a grand jury.

For the last 8 years the right, at every turn, questioned Obama's legitimacy. From the argument you are making above you should have been appalled at this. After all you are basically saying that if we doubt our President we are undermining our democracy.

Contrary thinking, however, questions the President at every move so that the electorate is not blinding following a leader. Isn't it the responsibility of each and every citizen to be informed of what the government is doing so that we are not led like sheep into a dictatorship?

I understand your argument, however, you are choosing the path of blind submission, instead of the path of enlightenment.

    Xenophobia.

People's nationalism can get so out of hand, that they actually despise foreigners. Trump promotes xenophobia at his rallies. And his base responds. So he promotes more, and they respond more... It's a cycle that has gotten out of hand. So much so, that I would contend that the only way he could lose his core base would be by betraying their xenophobia. But they'll forgive him for anything else.

And that's why Comey had such a heavy hand in Hillary losing the elections?

You are naive. Both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are the Political Class. Trump, Hillary, Ryan, Pelosi, ... all of them are the political class. The FBI and the whole establishment is there to keep away enemies of the political class if they are ever threatened by subversives. The political class does not feel threatened at all. Not in the least. So, even though I don't know the context of what you quote, your reading of the text is as callow as it gets....
