Rice requested the unmasking of names, so what?

In the context of my post, the question about proving a negative should be adequately answered. -There has been many instances of conversations with Russian spies and government officials that were denied by those Trump administration people involved. Some cases were lies to congress. Some were lies to Intelligence. But investigation into what was said and done still leave the question of whether it was collusion in some cases. So when it comes to specific instances like these, a negative can, indeed, be proven or disproven. Otherwise you are arguing that a thorough investigation into this or that conversation with a Russian spy cannot be proven to not be collusion, and I don't think you really want to be making that claim. Think!

Yeah yeah yeah. I suppose flat out lying denials are normal too. If all these conversation were open and above board and documented, I'm sure there would be no questions about them. It's the denials and lies that make them worrisome.

Do you suspect that the noise over Trump campaign contacts with the Russians is just a political hit arranged by Obama insiders before they left? You got fresh evidence of that Monday, with news that then-national security adviser Susan Rice was behind the “unmasking” of Trumpites in transcripts of calls with Russian officials.

Again, nothing on the public record so far shows that anyone on Team Trump said anything improper on those calls.

It’s no surprise that US spooks intercept foreign officials’ calls. But intelligence community reports don’t disclose the names of US citizens on the other end. To get that info, a high official must (but rarely does) push to “unmask” the Americans’ names.

Bloomberg’s Eli Lake now reports that Rice started doing just that last year.

That was perfectly legal. But we also know that the Obama administration later changed the classification of the “unmasked” transcripts, and other similar material, in order to spread the information as widely as possible within the government.

The motive for that was (supposedly) to prevent Team Trump from burying it all once it took over. But the result was that it made it relatively safe for someone (or someones) to leak the info to the press.

Which made it likely somebody would leak. So Team Obama’s “spread the info” initiative certainly broke the spirit of the laws.

Those leaks have produced a nagging political sore for the new administration — leading to the ouster of national security adviser Michael Flynn, helping to drive down President Trump’s approval ratings and making it harder for him to push his program through.

Rice certainly wasn’t politically naive about the political uses of intelligence information. She was, after all, the Obama official who famously made the rounds spouting the false “Our intel says it was about the video” line on the Benghazi attack back during the 2012 campaign.

All of this puts the actions of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes in clearer perspective. After viewing the Rice requests at the White House, he disclosed that Trump officials had been caught up in incidental surveillance.

All of which is a reminder that two issues are in play here: Russian meddling in the election, about which the nation already knows plenty — and the Obama team’s efforts to sabotage Team Trump.


All of this Russia nonsense has been perpetrated by Democrats because they just couldn't stand losing, and it looks as though the biggest baby of them all, is Obama. Anyone with just half a brain knows that he and his cronies are corrupt and ruthless. He is putting the entire US and all Americans in jeopardy because of his worthless EGO. The Democrats have to have hit rock bottom by now because I don't think they can sink much lower. Their sabotage is being uncovered as we speak. I hope those involved are punished to the greatest extent of the law. They are all liars and cheats. They STILL don't grasp why they lost! Maybe it's because they lie, cheat, steal to keep themselves in power and do so under the cover of the corrupt MSM who don't want their stupid supporters to know the truth. Shocking...

 

Produce a link to any "Evidence" of collusion.

Ok, now produce a link to any "evidence" presented by ANY intelligence agency that proves Russia interfered in any way in the election.
Also, produce a link to ANY "evidence" by a named government official regarding Russian interference with the election.
Since you state this is a fact, then produce a link to the US Governments official response to Russia, blaming them and demanding restitution or something.

Now produce a link to a dictionary that states having a conversation with some one, is illegal, I mean, Congress has conversations with other countries, and dignitaries all the time, so did Barrak Osama, and his entire regime.

You got to break a law first and she didn't break the law or commit a crime

Depends if she unmasked, right? If she did, she committed a felony. If she distributed this info to someone to give it to MSM, another crime was committed, I think. Then, did she do it for political reasons? Well for what other reason would you give it to another, to leak to MSM? No plausible deniability with that one.

If there is evidence for any of this, it could be found, if they decide to look. Or it would exonerate her of suspicion from trump people. So one hopes we look, but not this politically driven circus of these congressional committees held in public. These are political theater not serious inquiries. Perhaps the serious inquiries happen only in secret?

Lastly, you have no way of knowing if she broke the law, so stop stating opinion as fact. Purty please with sugar on top?

 

Susan Rice finally admitted that she requested the unmasking of Trump team but not to leaking those names or using them for political purposes. (LOL) Obama signed an Executive Order to share the intelligence with several additional agencies. Was that to make it harder to find the source of the leaking? How was Obama involved?

 

Maybe you are new enough at this politics stuff that you don't know that Intelligence and, to a lesser extent, congressional investigations, don't publish what they're finding as they proceed. They wait until they have finished the investigation, leaving no stone unturned, complete the evaluation, come to final conclusions, and complete their final reporting before they reveal details.

In the meantime, your questions and requests suggest that you are woefully uninformed. That seems to happen in one of two ways. Either you have not bothered with the news on this as it has been unfolding for the last few weeks, or you have only listened to the "news" coming out of right wing lying sites like Fox and Breitbart. Try something more reliable if you want to learn the answers to your questions and requests. I'm not going to spend the hours necessary to educate you.

You would not leak it back to the source, the NSA, more than likely. This info on trump's team and trump, was probably NSA sourced. Trump, or the name of his team, and you get the info, the conversations. Now, the only problem I have with that is if she could source the NSA computer which saves all communications? What is very interesting is the intel committees are getting stonewalled in their requests of intel. The people who oversee them, are not getting sufficient cooperation, which smells a bit odd here. Nunes had to get some info from a different place. On white house grounds, from the NSC. The big 3 letter agencies did not supply this, which is again odd to me.

You also are acting as if MSM is better at real journalism than FOX. Which is laughable. Now if you want to feed your hatred of trump, you go to MSM. And if you want to feed your suspicions on the other side, you got to FOX. Both will satiate and gratify. But if you want the truth, if it ever comes forth, you will not find it in either place, generally speaking. These things are not really the Press, they are political arms of two parties, in part.

You apparently don't know what the terms you are using MEAN. It was well within her job description TO "unmask" as National Security Adviser. To unmask simply means that SHE is allowed to see the names.

NO ONE with a brain is claiming she exposed those names publicly

As I recall, Nixon was never found to have been guilty with respect to committing the burglary. His "so called" crime was with the cover-up and trying to protect his people.

 

Well first she was merely the National Security Advisor not a part of the DOJ so why is she engaged in an investigation of private citizens and what was the probable cause for the investigation ESPECIALLY on an incoming administration. Then why did she lie about it?

 

He wasn't even charged with a crime in the coverup. The grand jury did not indict him.

 

He was never charged nor indicted for a crime let alone found guilty of one.

Of course on the other hand Bill Clinton committed perjury and obstruction of justice in a federal court and the Democrats said that did not disqualify from being President.

 

What you're describing (and trying to excuse) is obstruction of justice. Are you claiming he had nothing to do with the Watergate Burglary? Or that it didn't happen?

Yeah, and if Obama knew of the spying on trump for politics, he would be worse than Nixon, who did not know. But Nixon's men knew what the president needed, from just knowing him, and did it for him. Obama's people could have done the same thing. His people knew what he wanted, and did it to help Hillary and the dems. Conjecture of course. We do lots of that here, lots of Hillary dems do it.
