Tell me, this is the original UN 1947 Resolution. Do you see the little gray dot, Jerusalem, surrounded by Arab territory? Any coincidence it was attacked by Syria Iraq and Egypt?

Gaza was part of the Ottoman Empire, before it was occupied by the United Kingdom (1918–1948), Egypt (1948–1967), and then Israel, which in 1994 granted the Palestinian Authority in Gaza limited self-governance through the Oslo Accords. Since 2007, the Gaza Strip has been de facto governed by Hamas, which claims to represent the Palestinian National Authority and the Palestinian people.
    Wiki

Can you not see that HAMAS is the problem? It is using Palestine as an excuse for its anti Semitic genocidal ethnic cleansing agenda.

In 2014, following reconciliation talks, Hamas and Fatah formed a Palestinian unity government within the West Bank and Gaza. Rami Hamdallah became the coalition's Prime Minister and has planned for elections in Gaza and the West Bank.[27] In July 2014, a set of lethal incidents between Hamas and Israel led to the 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict.

Following the takeover of Gaza by Hamas, the territory has been subjected to a blockade, maintained by Israel and Egypt,[28] with Israel arguing that it is necessary to impede Hamas from rearming and to restrict Palestinian rocket attacks and Egypt preventing Gaza residents from entering Egypt. The blockades by Israel and Egypt extends to drastic reductions in basic construction materials, medical supplies, and food stuffs.[29][30][unreliable source?][31][32][33] Under the blockade, Gaza is viewed by some critics as an "open-air prison",[34] although the claim is contested.[35
    Wiki

The problem is HAMAS! And why are you always attacking Israel when Egypt is doing the same thing? They are simply trying to prevent terrorists from infiltrating their own populace.

In February 2005, the Knesset approved a unilateral disengagement plan and began removing Israeli settlers from the Gaza Strip in 2005. All Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip and the joint Israeli-Palestinian Erez Industrial Zone were dismantled, and 9,000 Israelis, most living in Gush Katif, were forcibly evicted
    Wiki

Israel evicted their own people and dismantled the settlements. At this point the ONLY thing Palestinians can complain about are the sanctions, which frankly they brought upon themselves when they elected HAMAS.
Nobody is occupying their territory, which only exists because of Israel and Egypt material support. The Palestinians can't complain about import export bans given that they weren't self sufficient before them or, for that matter, ever.

Israel also withdrew from the Philadelphi Route, a narrow strip of land adjacent to the border with Egypt, after Egypt agreed to secure its side of the border. Under the Oslo Accords, the Philadelphi Route was to remain under Israeli control to prevent the smuggling of weapons and people across the Egyptian border, but Egypt (under EU supervision) committed itself to patrolling the area and preventing such incidents.
    Wiki

Where's your tirade against Egyptian imperialism? Can you not see that the other border country is just as concerned about terrorism from Palestine? Its because of...u guessed it, HAMAS. Israel did the right thing and kicked the Jews out of Gaza, but now your making a land grab. You have NOTHING to stand on.

The Israel Defense Forces left the Gaza Strip on 1 September 2005 as part of Israel's unilateral disengagement plan and all Israeli citizens were evicted from the area. In November 2005, an "Agreement on Movement and Access" between Israel and the Palestinian Authority was brokered by then US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to improve Palestinian freedom of movement and economic activity in the Gaza Strip. Under its terms, the Rafah crossing with Egypt was to be reopened, with transits monitored by the Palestinian National Authority and the European Union. Only people with Palestinian ID, or foreign nationals, by exception, in certain categories, subject to Israeli oversight, were permitted to cross in and out. All goods, vehicles and trucks to and from Egypt passed through the Kerem Shalom Crossing, under full Israeli supervision.[57] Goods were also permitted transit at the Karni crossing in the north.

After the Israeli withdrawal in 2005 the Oslo Accords give the Palestinian Authority administrative authority in the Gaza Strip. The Rafah Border Crossing has been supervised by EU Border Assistance Mission Rafah under an agreement finalized in November 2005.[58] The Oslo Accord permits Israel to control the airspace and sea space.[59
    Wiki

.....and then you idiots 'elected' HAMAS.

In the Palestinian parliamentary elections held on 25 January 2006, Hamas won a plurality of 42.9% of the total vote and 74 out of 132 total seats (56%).[60][61] When Hamas assumed power the next month, Israel, the United States, the European Union, Russia and the United Nations demanded that Hamas accept all previous agreements, recognize Israel's right to exist, and renounce violence; when Hamas refused,[62] they cut off direct aid to the Palestinian Authority, although some aid money was redirected to humanitarian organizations not affiliated with the government.[63] The resulting political disorder and economic stagnation led to many Palestinians emigrating from the Gaza Strip

Shortly after, Hamas took control of the Gaza Strip in the course of the Battle of Gaza,[75] seizing government institutions and replacing Fatah and other government officials with its own.[

late June 2008, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan declared the West Bank-based cabinet formed by Abbas as "the sole legitimate Palestinian government". Egypt moved its embassy from Gaza to the West Bank
    Wiki

..............and this is just up to 2008......if you want to keep talking about the recent history, we can. But the problem hasn't been Israel since 2005. Your just so blind and, frankly, possibly antisemetic, that you fail to admit that HAMAS is the biggest obstacle to the Palestinian people. If you were truly impartial and supportive of a Palestinian free state, you would take the logical position against HAMAS and work towards a free, just government representative of its people and capable of supporting them. I have a feeling you have never truly read the history and are misguided, and you speak from pure emotion. My suggestion is to educate yourself and be open to letting bygones be bygones. As an American, I can see that Israel was wrong to occupy Gaza and when they left, it was all good until HAMAS came into the picture. You need to accept HAMAS's radical nature or you will never be given any credibility by educated people with impartial opinions.

Palestine has gained UNESCO membership, access to the international courts, recognition as a UN non-member state and recognition as a state on the pre-1967 borders by 138 of the UN membership. All this progress is due to its refusal to capitulate to the brutal and criminal Israeli regime. Its backbone has been- of course- resistance by HAMAS.
I can see why you don't like it.

Only the Palestinian do not recognize it as such, nor do the Arab countries.

I agree. That coup was central to the destabilization of the entire region. Good point. But still, it does not justify allowing HAMAS to run around killing innocent people.

Have you read the HAMAS Charter.?

It specifically contains a commitment to the genocide of the jews......

" Israel will rise and will remain erect until Islam eliminates it as it had eliminated its predecessors."

"There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by Jihad"

    and many other references...

Preaching to the choir....I suggest you read the thread again and rethink your target. I have been trying to convince moon for quite awhile that HAMAS is the problem in Palestine.

That's right, and the idea that events which occurred during the Eisenhower administration is a good reason to murder innocent people today only demonstrates the depth of ignorance of the Islamic leadership and why the modern world, and in fact logic itself, remains so foreign to them.

However most people who follow these issues realize that this is being used to rationalize the murder of innocent Jews, Americans, or anyone else who gets in the way of their religious and political ambitions.

It sounds like you have gone hysterical. Guess that must happen when you find the truth so disturbing you can only look at a tiny bit of what was written. Best to get medical help before it is too late.

Jesus now dead people benefit from being gassed and not being alive. Seems they benefit being dead because that is better than not recognising Israel.

Of course Syria recognises Jews. Wow, insanity
