Uhm, you mean GOD HIMSELF manifested a voice for all to hear? Who was god speaking directly to? today, people who hear the voice of god within themselves commanding them to do stuff, usually are described as mentally unbalanced. Its the voices, I tells ya.
So you believe the Sins of the Father are passed onto the Son? If a father was a murderer or thief then all his children are culpable and deserving of punishment?
To many christians, not sure of jews and muslims. God is the Father to all humanity. Hence the verse in a prayer, Father, son, and holy ghost.
You have to understand that the Catholic Order was corrupted long ago, and so the Bible is not the ONLY source of inspiration and wisdom concerning God. Zionists are to blame, the degree of influence is subject for debate. You have to understand that revelations of God are not ONLY mandated and dictated by the Church, but by the Act itself. It tells me that you don't know the first thing of what you're talking about. How old are you, 18? They actually knew a lot, and in some regards, knew more than confused and ignorant people know today. A majority of humans are made to Obey. Those who are Obedient should not be shamed, for the mistakes of those who dictate to them. And when it comes to the corruption of the Church, then I agree about ridding the world of that corruption. Remember the position of the Heretic. It is possible to speak truths without the "Permission" of earthly authorities.
And you are wrong again. James is writing that faith that is not followed by works is not true faith, if a person does not have enough faith to live their faith through action, then it is not real faith - it is a "dead" faith as opposed to alive faith which is demonstrated through deeds. Nowhere does James state that faith alone does not save. And in Acts James agreed with Paul and Peter that following the Mosaic Law was not required for salvation - salvation was through faith, not works.
So answer the question which you dodged, ARE the Sins of the Father passed onto the Son????? Yes or no, GO.
You mean a book written by profoundly ignorant men and selectively "revised" by more profoundly ignorant men may result in contradictions? Who would have thought that was even possible.
I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation. Exodus 20:5 , Deuteronomy 5:9 Visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children unto the third and to the fourth generation. Exodus 34:7 Visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation. Numbers 14:18 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. Deuteronomy 23:2If you fail to follow all of God's commandments, God will curse your children. If thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day ... Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body. Deuteronomy 28:15-18 Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God? Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law.Jeremiah 16:10-11 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers. Isaiah 14:21 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name. Jeremiah 32:18
That's your statement of belief. You choose to put your faith in human beings, others put their faith in God. But that's a different topic, what I am addressing is the Christian beliefs.
I asked YOU and YOU dodged the question cowardly. I'm aware of the Lord's messages. Did you believe your own Sins are so easily washed away????? Did you believe they were a secret???
James is explaining the type of faith and how it manifests in a persons life. In James 2:24, "by works a man is justified" does not mean "by works a man is saved", it means that a mans status with respect to God (a man's righteousness) can be seen in his works. A person is saved through faith, that is how a person moves into the family of God. Once in the family of God, a person naturally wants to live according to God's will and that will be reflected in their works. Salvation is a real transformation of a person and that transformation changes their behaviour. James is saying that if a person says they are saved, then it should be obvious in their works. If their works do not reflect salvation, then their faith is not real and their claim to be saved is false. Its important to understand that "good works" in the New Testament is works in accordance with God's will, not what a secular person considers good works. Its not just helping the poor and sick. Good works includes praying, intolerance of sin, correcting fellow Christians, spreading the word of God, evangelizing the unsaved, teaching those who are saved, going to church and fellowship with Christians.
I just pointed out where James states that "Faith alone" is Useless and Dead in relation to the question "can such a faith save". Further he says only the foolish believe in this doctrine. You do not post what James actually says (as I did) to back up any of your claims. Reciting ingested man made dogma is not a substitute for what scripture actually says.
Wow that's a consp-theory I hadn't heard before, you atheists keep pulling them out of hats like stage magicians..
The concept is that Satan tests mortals for God. Its hardly new doctrine. Look at the much older Jewish concept of Satan... the original concept.
That's an interesting consp-theory but doesn't hold water.. Rather, Satan is a mass of invisible "spiritual pollution" sloshing around the planet, disrupting everything he touches to cause illness and deformity etc. He gets his strength by feeding off the bad vibes churned out by atheists and nonchristians, just like the invisible monster in Forbidden Planet that gets its strength from the dark subconcious of Dr. Morbius-
Yes, Satan probes our minds looking for weaknesses in our character that he can make flare up! Kirk- "Report Mr. Spock" Spock- "We're being scanned Captain, source and origin unknown!" Kirk- "Shields up, red alert!"
You obviously have access to the Bible, why do I have to copy it into every post? Or is that just your excuse?
So, in Matthew 17:5 there was a large crowd of local yokels standing around and a voice in a cloud yelled out : "This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!" Gotta tell ya, that sounds like a whole lot of BS. What language was it spoken in? It seems to have scared the crap out of the disciples but, as usual, Jesus tells them to keep their traps shut until after he gets nailed. It's easier to sell BS about a dead guy than it is about a live one who can be questioned. And as usual, it happened on top of a mountain. Just another Samaritan story. The God character was big on floating around in clouds and sitting on mountain tops.
I do think some things are predestined, but I believe God's Love demands we have sovereignty to chose. Maybe there are predestined paths of which we choose. No one on this earth knows the mind of God....but we can learn about His charactor. You love to use the word "ad hom deflection".. Guess it makes you sound more important than you really are. That is o.k. I have stated my beliefs are all based on faith. I do not have to prove anything to you. Can't you get that? You just want to attack my faith...that's all.
Some can learn it's character, some choose to ignore its character. Like wiping out the entire earth but for ark creatures. Great character. And it was known by this entity, how mankind would be before the creation.
