He did not bow. The Saudi was physically too short to put the medal around Trump's neck without Trump helping him.

That headline is from CNN and they proved once again, they are fake news. CNN actually sucks and is close to committing treason against the United States government. It's not a bow as you lean forward to accept a medal.
At this point you're pretty much arguing with yourself. Because I never said Trump bowed. I said as a courtesy you BEND YOUR NECK, so it's easier for the person putting the medal around your neck.
It's come to this? Okay, he did a little skip at the end, after he leaned over to accept the decoration. Faux pas? Perhaps. But so what? And so what about Obama? And for those who want to go the whole hog, would Hillary have curtsied? Go and play with that for a while.
No.. I have met Salman. I am 5'10" and he was 6'2".. He's just old and fragile now. Does it really matter if Trump bowed? Salman doesn't allow his subjects to bow to him or kiss his hand, but its a small thing that Salman would not hold against an American.
Bowgate started with Obama, but not before kissgate of Bush. Let's hope Trump doesn't start kissing those guys... The thing with Obama is that he's not used to bowing, I guess, so he doesn't know the etiquette involved which is very hierarchical. A slight nod indicates you're far superior. The farther you bend over, the lower on the totem pole you are, and Obama bent so far over that it looked like he was apologizing for his very existence. This coupled with his apology tour didn't look good.
When I was five or six I met King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud who was quite old by then.. I did my best Shirley Temple curtsey and he gave me an inlaid box of candied fruit which I still have... the box not the fruit. In subsequent meetings I have not bowed.. The Saudi kings shake hands and they are very gracious. I just don't think bowing is a big deal.
