O'Reilly left some big shoes to fill, ratings-wise....

Yea, I get the legal cost and the sponsor pullouts are costly, but Fox is letting its brand suffer.

Considering the large viewership I'm honestly a little surprised at all the sponsors pulling out like they did with OReilly. Where's the backlash from angry Fox viewers? At the sponsors I mean, I see that they're angry at Fox, but why not go after the money?

I believe which ever news source fits my preconceived notion of the truth :)

Considering how lax the DNC security was I could have hacked them. Who needs the Russians?

I'd imagine that most republicans have stopped watching the news as much because they've moved on with their lives.

The election was must see TV. Everyone watched it. Immediately after the inauguration, people watched because it was new and cool.

Now, people like myself are just tired of hearing the same old 'Trump is a Russian spy. This time were serious' talk on replay all day and moved on with other things.

I watched the news quite a bit during the election, but now don't even turn it on because I know what it's going to say over and over every day. The breaking news isn't really that exciting anymore.

If Trump were to be discovered as a Russian spy, then I'd probably watch again. Until then, I'll he enjoying the weather.

He was a little busy sexually harassing the hired help and stereotyping minorities, was this not the reason? :)

Give them a break - it has been eight years since they had to polish a turd this hard. They have to wind up the spin machine again

The Democrat party of today sure isn't my father's Democrat party.

It took Nixon 3 1/2 years to break into the DNC HQ's.

It took the Russians 3 1/2 minutes to break into the DNC HQ's.

It was that easy because Clinton didn't lock the bathroom door.

    DARPA did.

The internet was developed for the U.S. Air Force.

Funny thing is, no Vietnam War there would have been no internet today.

The old geezers that invented the internet said in hindsight the internet should have been kept a military secret after looking at how the internet has dumbed down society.

Thanks! Your comparison between the two examples have nothing whatsoever to do with each other.

Trump voters don't want to tune in to the news that they're losing their health coverage, the debt ceiling needs to be raised sooner than expected, there's no wall planned at the Mexican border, the Carrier jobs Trump "saved" are going to Mexico after all, Jared K has been getting cozy with the Kremlin...

    They're demoralized. And rightly so.

The bigots and homophobes will defend Fox to the end it seems (see above) but the writing is definitely on the wall for the Fake News Network.

The bigot, sexist, and homophobia talk is what has gotten them in trouble. Case in point, post # 9.

But they won't see any of that on Fox.

Instead they'll watch segments about liberals being mean Trump, or how dangerous these leaks are (ignoring Trump's obstruction of justice), while asking the question that's on NOBODY'S mind: Will the new FBI director reopen his investigation on Clinton's email server.

They were going full infowars with the Seth Rich conspiracy just a few weeks ago.

Fox is a bigger joke than ever, and that's saying a lot.

    Yeah.

We realize that if FOX is going to throw our favorite pundits under the bus, we're going to throw FOX under the bus in turn.

And it took a simple "you're great, Donnie" to turn a bloated, orange-colored Republican dimwit into a Russian stooge. With the entire voting base goose-stepping along with it.

Run along now, Fox is talking about the scary important Clinton Foundation scandal again. Go lap it up.

Or when he's impeached and unseated their ratings will go up even more.

Trump is more than just a conservative impotently ranting and raving. Trump wants to actually do some of the horrifying things extreme conservatives have been promulgating for years and he rightly scares people. People are sick of a bunch of jerkwads telling them how they should just lose their healthcare and die because it will Make America Great Again.

Fox and MSNBC are two sides of the same coin.

That should be painfully obvious. No eh?

    Yes and no.

    1) The opinion shows are essentially the same (dominated by conservatives on a Fox and liberals on MSNBC), although Fox brings on more liberals than MSNBC brings on conservatives.

    2) The actual hard news broadcasts on Fox (Shepherd Smith, Chris Wallace, Bret Baier) are straight down the middle. I've never seen any program on MSNBC that is right down the middle.
