Putin didn't lose Ukraine. It's a failed state, and the US will not be giving them anymore hand outs. The Ukrainians can go into Germany, but they can't work. They can only visit... but with what money? Except for the billionaire oligarchs who stole everything, the people have nothing.

As for the Russian speaking Ukrainians, Russia has tightened its borders. There's no help there. Seems to me Ukraines troubles have just started.

I give the EU two years, and Nato four years the most. What Trump did was its death warrant. Nato was fine as long as American money was coming into their coffers, but you'll see how quickly they'll realize now that Russia isn't really their enemy.

 

You're right, Russia isn't their enemy. They probably think it is, but Russia wouldn't dare cause any trouble in the Baltics.

Even if we were to assume that Western and Southern Europeans leave NATO (they won't) the Baltics, Polish, and Ukrainians will happily host American military bases until the Russian annoyance finally recedes.

And this is why Russia's sphere of influence will only get smaller. Once the Chinese finish gobbling up all the soft influence possible in Central Asia the Russians will be left with what, Belarus? Russia has no meaningful influence in Syria, Syria is essentially an Iranian puppet at this point.

I admire the Russian spirit to remain geopolitically important at any cost, but it can't go on. Someday, when Russia is part of NATO, they'll ask what they were fighting for.

That is not going to help. The big threat to our security is the Establishment and SCOTUS is part of that establishment.

I don't believe Putin is any kind of threat to the USA.

In fact relations between him and Trump have been pretty good, other than the 2 Syrian air strikes by the US.

N.Korea is the biggest threat to the USA right now. Even more so than China.

China is the next threat down the road, after N.Korea has been muzzled.
