Yes, I am laughing out loud at the GULLIBILITY of the home schooled extremist alt right who believe such utter claptrap while wrapping themselves so tightly in the US flag that they are cutting off all blood flow to their brains!
I don't support burning the American flag or spitting on it or degrading it in any way, but is that any worse than colluding with Russians to throw an election that is supposed to be "American?"
Thanks for the honesty. For some people, that piece of red, white, and blue cloth represents something significant. It is a symbol of something worthwhile, a symbol of freedoms which people fight and die for. Who cares? Thankfully, a good many Americans. Yes. Advocating for realistic dealings with Russia is not to seek adoration of that country. Far from it. Keep telling the people who support President Trump how poorly educated they are. That's bound to win you strong support going forward. All those uneducated people keep voting Republican. The presidential election was in keeping with a trend towards the GOP in local and state contests. Dems should start addressing the concerns of the poorly educated, no? Yes. It's fascinating to think that the blue areas of the country think so poorly of the rest of the country. And I'm sorry, I'm always amused by the Watters World segments which involve Jesse Watters talking to the college students...
When Trump observed that he had attracted considerable support from the folks he referred to as the "poorly educated", it was an instance of his being candid in acknowledging what every voter survey confirmed. Why would you wish to conceal that support? Poor, less-educated White voters had previously been loyal to the Democratic Party, and Trump enticed them away.
Why must you pretend that I ever expressed such a thing? If you are upset because all surveys attest to Trump's unpopularity with Americans, that does not license you to lash out with such falsehoods.
What on earth does your Russian conspiracy theory have to do with my comment? Derailing... or did you accidentally respond to the wrong person?
Trump's support runs a bit wider than "poor, less-educated white voters". Well, at least that's been my observation. And the point of my post is that if Dems wish to regain the support of the people they lost to Trump, calling those people stupid might not be the most effective way of doing that. Oh, and lest you think otherwise, even the uneducated can eventually tell when they're being played...
Obviously, Trump's strong backing by less-educated White voters would not have brought him within 3 million votes of Clinton if that were his sole base of support. I would strongly object to you or anyone else dismissing that demographic as "stupid."
Priceless. Back when I was in college the best bumpersticker I saw on campus contained the message on this button: And that was before we had rigorous intellectual courses such as "Gender and Food Politics", "White People", "Queering God: Feminist and Queer Theology", "Black Hair Politics", "Ecofeminism"... http://www.yaf.org/news/dirty-dozen...olitically-correct-college-courses-2016-2017/ Put me on a farm and I'll starve to death, but I got me a hiyuh ejimicaashin!
Well, what pejorative do you have in mind? Dems have already worn out "racist" and "deplorables" didn't exactly work out for the Dowager Empress of Chappaqua. It may be bad politics, but it appears that they've decided to try "stupid" on for size. I've also heard that they've begun floating trial balloons on "doo-doo heads" and "meanie-weanies" for the 2020 elections...
I have said nothing about results of polls or surveys. I am not bothered by them. Nor do I trust them to be fully accurate. Some of us are smart enough to know they can be skewed, or just wrong. As the last election showed. They are what they are. Why must you assume I am lashing out? You are assuming you know what I think or feel. You, being on the left, cannot speak for me. Don't be silly and think you are, in any way, capable of doing so.
far right traitor aims rifle at federal agents who were trying to enforce the law - this is treason and is typical of far right extremism - there is absolutely nothing patriotic in this I wonder what the forum right wingers would say if this had been a political lefty.
When you go far enough to the left or far enough to the right you end up at the same place. The label is not important.
It is not unusual for some to deny polls they don't like, even when all concur. Of course, as a matter of record, the '16 race tightened precipitously and the final 3.2% composite differential continued to shrink to 2.1% on election day. They were even closer than they were in 2012. Your, "childish 'Look I'm better than a Trump supporter'" conceit is fatuous. Neither the majority of Americans who voted against Trump, nor the larger majority that now disapprove of him, proclaim such a thing, and I do not concur with any who might.
