Then they should not be working with the public.

 

Some people talk about the cops as if they are another species or something. They are human beings too, you know!

 

Maybe, maybe not, but there is no way of knowing what is going on in someone's head unless they share it. I'm sure a lot of these guys start out being cops with great intentions, but the realities of life wear them down after a while.

 

No one here has said that all cops are racist. Several here have been stating that this particular cop did nothing wrong.

It's the sissy dance that's the problem. If some insist the cops were racially motivated, they must also decry the racism of latinos.

 

Actually yes, plenty of people here speak in generalities and paint all cops with the same brush, as if one cop's mistake is a reflection of all cops. I had pretty much given up on this thread about five pages into it, but even at that point the thread had already gone off the rails and there were already plenty of examples of people making nasty generalizations about law enforcement based on this one event.

 

In the quotes you reproduced, it states that cops need retraining in de-esculating techniques hence no mention of racism. The only racist quote refers to one force, Bakersfield, so again it is not a reference to all cops being racists. But there definitely are some posters who have refused to say that the officer in this event did anything wrong

 

The apologists never find any wrong in the profession.

There are plenty of people who drag in statistics how black people do more violent crimes, and so support racist profiling etc. Usually the same bunch got a massive problem when cops are profiled as racist thugs.

 

1. Cops aren't thugs.
2. I suspect very few cops are actually racists.
3. Are you suggesting cops should disregard criminal statistics for fear of someone accusing them of racial profiling?
4. "Racial profiling" based on actual crime statistics is one thing. Do you have any actual statistics to support profiling cops as "racist thugs"?

 

It's illegal to do so, and they only got applied to black people anyways by racist cops ... since criminal statistics show that white people punch above their weight with drug related crimes, including OD more often, yet black people are far and far more often convicted of these crimes. This is only explained that there are a lot of racist white thugs in the police force... with their "war" on "drugs".

Also in the case of the OP. They were searching for a guy 5-feet-10 and about 170 pounds. And they "mistook" a HIM with a HER of 5-feet-2 and 115 pounds. The racist thugs with badges just beat her up real good. Just deal with it.

 

Again, there are statistics supporting the rates of black crime. Do you have any statistics to support your claim about cops being racist thugs? Or are you just another cop hater wanting to use this one incident to put all cops in a bad light?

 

When the police has this war on drugs, and mainly arrests black people while white people do the most drugs and even more to the % of the US ethnic make up, than this is the statistic how cops are racist thugs. Add to that, that the cops had this illegal way of racist profiling in the past,... goes hand in hand with US's apartheid rule ending only in the late 1960's in utterly conservative US.

By the way.... Do you care to explain how cops end up beating up a little black girl, and even use an attack dog on her, when they were looking for a black guy? It sounds like South Africa during it's apartheid reign or like the US in it's 1960's... as in just get any black person, it will do.

 

She was on a bike with a backpack. Does it say if they saw her face first or just saw her riding off?

 

You don't know how many are dealt with internally or even fired.
You saying it never happens is no different than those you criticize for being cop apologist
