A way to put it in perspective is an individual is like a car. You can have your height altered, change your name, your eye color permanently changed, lose tons of weight or gain tons of weight, why would changing sexual orientation be any different than any of the other examples I provided? And man randomly did not fall out of the sky, but that's for a different thread.

A man who never dug a foxhole, in frozen Germany wants a woman to dig her own foxhole?

    Amusing.

The Army also digs latrines. I wonder if women would whine when her male superior orders her to go dig one?

You want us to use your definitions. no thanks. I never said transgenders are a threat. I don't think any poster calls them threats.

But why join the military? To fight? Or is your true intent to get some operations to swap sex for you?

Transgenders do serve. And i think they shall keep serving. But as to buying women male parts or vice versa, I hope not.

Manning got his due to him being courts martialed. That was terrible.

This is just the reality show host kissing the ass of the "christians" - like "pray away the gay" pompous Pence.
I do not know why supposedly "straight" people like Pence and other "christians" are so concerned with gay people or transgender - I don't think it is normal to dwell on such things, but I'm not a psychiatrist.

Almost a kin of mine. I mean militarily. I served the commanding officer as his company clerk. This afforded me full access to the unit's records. I added to them as well, and even showed changes in duty, ranks, etc. I had full access to personnel records.

I don't recall even one of the men who I suspected of being a homosexual. Maybe some men were. we had no women in the unit.

We were responsible for a Battalion in this fashion. (about 2500 men in all i believe) We had the medics. We had all of the Command officers, ranks from Bird Col down to second Lt. We were top heavy with officers.

We had the nukes. We had the communications. We had much of the motor pool. We had Supply. We had all facets of combat planning for the entire Battalion.

I do not recall even a single homosexual nor any women.

Things must have really changed since I served. If they check a form admitting they are homosexuals, perhaps not as much as I thought.

I never believed it when homosexuals did it.

Trying to link themselves to transgenders. What is next? Moon bats?

It's not normal to be convinced you're another gender when, you're really not. That's called a mental illness. You fail.

"LGBT" is wrong. There is little in common between gay/lesbians/bisexuals and transexuals. Transexuals have either a terrible psychological disorder OR a terrible physical birth defect.

"Feel like a woman or feel like a man" is just social stereotyping of people who confuse "social gender desires" with a person's sex. It is not just how a person "feels," but then does on to demanding how other people treat them, requiring other people "feel" the way do - and many then want to government to spend tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars to surgically multilate their body and build faux cosmetic genitals, and then again demanding that everyone else "feels" they way the do about what constitutes a man or a woman.

It is NOT just "how the person feels inside" at all. That is a lie. NOTHING prevents anyone in the military to "feel inside" however they want to. The question is demanding everyone else "feel" the same way about that person and that everyone and everything relevant be altered to suit how the "feel' today about themselves.

The issue is NOT "LGB"s serving in the military whatsoever. It is not even about Ts serving in the military. Rather, it is about placating and paying all the extras to placate Ts in the military. No special changes need to be made in anything about the military for LGBs.

This is why shifting from "transexual" (ie SRS) to "transgender" (how a person "feels") is so significant. The military has no reason to care about how a person "feels" inside - and every reason to care when this converts to making adjustments, paying for drugs and surgeries, and requiring everyone else to feel the same about gender identify outwards. It is not about inner feelings, but outward demands to patronize those alleged feelings.

It was really stupid and many gays, lesbians, bisexuals and particularly women activities completely despise the linkage and despite that a person's sex and gender if solely a stereotypical "feeling" the person has.

There was a furious argument between a lesbian gay rights activist and a non-SRS genetic male dressed and wearing makeup as a woman, demanding the lesbian use the pronoun "she" and ranting that "she" is a woman the same as her - to the lesbian sneering back insults that he wasn't a woman, he was just a mental case freak. The tranny was ranting so furiously the tranny's spit was hitting her face. Her, a very physically fit black belt, kneed him in the groin so hard the tranny now was moaning curled up on the floor. The lesbian then sneered "do you FEEL like a woman now?"

She had focused on the REAL, tangible difference between them in the most real way of all. She can't be kneed in the nuts. The tranny could. Women don't have testicles.

Dress, hair, makeup - these are all such current popular gender stereotypes of appearance. None define a person's sex or a person's gender. A woman wearing no make up and putting on work overalls doesn't suddenly become a man. A man putting on a skirt and makeup does not make him a woman. MOST trannies actually want the lifestyle in terms of stereotyping, with fantasies of what being a woman socially would be. The fantasy is mostly false, a Hollywood view of life and society.

Thus you also come to the fundamental contradiction. Gays, lesbians and bisexuals do NOT want to be treated any different in the military. Transgenders demand being treated different - and that everyone adjust themselves to suit the transgender.

So? How many transgenders currently are or were in the military - and none longer than 2 years. The estimate is around 1,500. There are 22,000,000 veterans who are not transgender. Do the math. Transgenders cost by their own estimates over $3700 each extra per year, and that is with a maximum of just 2 years of service and no post service transgender veterans. To the contrast, the cost per personnel for Viagra and ED is $5.60 each - and that largely for retired military. Less than $6 per person across decades versus $3,700 per tranny across just 2 years.

On top of that, as they age many trannies will equally want Viagra and ED treatment. Many trannies really are just cross dressers in what they "feel like a woman" means. However, the remain male physically and usually are gay or bi, so still do male sex - like $100,000,000aire Bruce Jenner does. Anytime Jenner wanted to s/he could have SRS surgery. While claiming to be a woman, he kept is male genitals and still had sex with women - claiming he was a lesbian - but now says he is thinking about SRS surgery and if so MIGHT try sex with men.

That is another thing about many trannies. They are a drag queen this month, a lesbian woman next month, a straight woman the month after than, straight for a couple of months and then back to... they are not very consistent or stable.

So not only is there the $150,000 for SRS surgery, but maybe another $250,000 to try to change s/he back because, once again, their "identify" changed.

Senator Duckworth's example proves just how vastly more costly trannies in the military are.

The cost of sex reassignment surgery for a man is over $100,000 in the USA. This does not include such as electrolysis to remove facial hair and other extra cosmetic changes.

The cost of hormone therapy is $1500 per year, not counting the cost of office visits. In addition, given the extremely high rate of suicide and suicide attempts by trannies, nearly all doctors require the person also be involved in psychological counseling as a safeguard.

So a non-SRS tranny costs an extra approximate $3000 per year, not counting any accommodation costs. Add at least $150,000.00 if the person demands SRS procedures.

This would also be a dramatic change as the military currently will not enlist ANYONE who has ANY prescription drug dependency for obvious reasons. The military won't even enlist someone with a bad tooth or half a shoe size too big feet for the added costs.

Do you think the enemy would give our POWs estrogen injections? Should personnel lives be risked to get more estrogen to the battle front?

Name ANY other prescription drug a person requires that does not ban the person from enlisting in the military? So this is NOT about "equality" to transexuals, it is about giving them a right to enlist that exactly 100% everyone else is denied.

Look. Let's say you walk into a recruiter's office, and you say you want to join, but you've got a bum knee. But you say that all you need is a surgery on the knee to repair it, and your plan is to join up and have a military surgeon fix it. Or maybe you've got a ruptured disc in your back, but it can be fixed by military doctors. Maybe you've got AIDS, but you'll be fine if you can just take a drug cocktail every day.

I can guarantee you the military will not let you join.

So why should the military let someone join up who is going to want gender reassignment surgery and drugs forever to remain "male" or "female"?

And where the hell does the military place a pre-op transgender? With the women or the men?

Why should the military even have to deal with this sh-t?

What our country needs is healthy military members whose sexuality will not be a drag on medical resources or requiring special accommodations.

I served in the Army. My son served in the Marines and fought in combat. Our military has got serious sh-t to deal with, and it doesn't need this added burden.

    My two cents ... :oldman:

All of these sort of things the LGBTQ community has done are political and attempts to foist their twisted agenda on the rest of us. They are ploys to manipulate public opinion to garner favor and acceptance and give themselves an air of legitimacy. Their ultimate goal is to be accepted as normal and equivalent to hetero sexuality. That is why they have no business in the armed forces. The business of the military is to provide security for our nation not "social justice". There are manifold other more practical reasons to disallow this freak show from serving in the military but mainly because it is not a venue for political theater. Let them parade and demonstrate all they want but we need to apply a little sanity when it comes to protecting the institutions that are the cement that binds our beloved republiic. This sort of leftist politics has been eroding the moral fabric of our nation and is very destructive, we have to make a stand to preserve what's left.

Probably the reason you didn't know of any is probably because of the time you served, as well as the fact that your command was about 20 times larger than the largest one I served with. On my first ship, there was anywhere from 120 to 150 people on it. Squadron was the same thing, only about 110 to 120 people there as well. And, in smaller commands, it's easier to get to know everyone and what they are about.

Trying to keep track of who's who and what they are doing on as well as off duty for 2500 people is a tall order for ANYONE to do. Matter of fact, when the squadron deployed onboard the carrier, I didn't know a single person who was ship's crew, and so consequently, I wouldn't have known anything about them.
