The only flaw in your fantasy is that it is a fantasy

The Confederate states were readmitted to the Union with full rights

You can keep squawking about it till the cows come home. The question was answered, confirmed -- and you are wrong.

Actually, yours would be the opinion and a misinformed one at that. I would suggest you look up the definition of state, it doesn't mean what you "feel" it does.

The south did not throw the first punch. The south had succeeded before Lincoln and it was Lincoln that instigated war. The south was defending sovereign territory against a foreign invader.

    I am not wrong

You have to cling to a lie so that honorable men can be falsely smeared as traitors

"No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation..."

    Article I, Section 10, Clause 1

And it may come as a complete shock to some of you neo-confeds, but it is illegal to take up arms against the US Gov't - and steal federal property.

You claim so falsely claim that I do not know of what I speak of and you fart from your mouth lies about Lincoln. You stated that the South seceded because the North wanted to take away their right to our the property of human beings. You really think that it is ok to isn human beings???

I am sure that somewhere back in college I did read the declaration of secession ( I believe that spell check bit you in your ass since your post says succession) by SC but I could care less what those rebel Traitors had to say about why they betrayed their own nation. I care and condemn them for being Traitors.

None, slavery was illegal, but he was a flaming racist and segregationist. He even filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

And get this, after Byrd had filibustered the CRA, the Democrats elected him as the US Senate majority leader, and then named a US Senate building after another Democrat who filibustered the CRA with Byrd. So it's not like the dems had a problem with racists, bigots or segregationists, they actually honored them.

The South was itching to secede for years prior -- and nothing was going to stop them. Nothing unless the Union guaranteed them Slavery could remain and expand to all those future territories / states. The rebels weren't dumb in this respect:

    1. they knew how to read a map (eying western territories hungrily)
    2. and they knew how to count (raw population numbers, re: reapportionment. ).

The South for almost the whole first quarter of the country prior dominated Congress and every president (with the exception of two!) up until the 1850's was a freakin' southern slaveholder.

Congress dominated because of that bloody compromise which gave them way more representation than they actually had, conferring their property count to be realized as Congressional representation.

The South even had a gag order to prevent the topic of Slavery from even being discussed in Congress or the tens of thousands of petitions from the Northerners to be even spoken about on the floor of Congress. GAGGED.

With the Whig split and the formation of the anti-slavery Republican party -- and the expansion into the territories (and about 40 other things too lengthy to get into) that was when the South saw their demise. Numbers. / Map.

Once Lincoln, the man who scared the living **** out of them with his (even moderate) anti-slavery position with the Republican party was elected (with not a single Southern state putting him on the ballot!) -- they didn't even let him take office before they took their marbles, seized federal property and started Acts of War.

All in the name of perpetuating and expanding slavery.

    <cough> Strom Thurmond </cough>

At least Byrd repudiated his earlier views -- (unlike Segregationist Strom) to the extent Byrd even received a 100% approval rating from the NAACP/

The right to have Congressmen who voted was restored very quickly. What the Southern Traitors are PO'd about is that firmer slaves were serving in Congress during reconstruction.
