Congress declares war, so they do have some power, when it comes to foreign relations.

Since Trump signed the bill, I don't see it going to court.

I don't disagree that Congress is horrible. However, for my country, I'm really glad they have stepped up to limit Trump's ability to lift sanctions on Russia and to impose more. I saw on the news today, that Russia is continuing to attack our country through cyber warfare. The last thing we needed was for Trump to throw them a bone. I'm not excusing anything. I am worried about my country and see Trump as incompetent and ineffective.

It's a sad day when Americans care what criticism Russia has to say about our country and our lawmakers, when they made many attempts to undermine our election, corrupt members of the President's family, if not the President himself, all to run stolen money through our banking systems without impunity.

 

I don't care what the Russians have to say, insofar as they are stating the blatantly obvious! That the US Congress basically said F U to the Constitution, and it will likely go unchallenged. That's a sad development. Trump or no Trump.

Russia's attacking us through cyber warfare? So is India, China and other players. And every black hatter out there too. And so are we, it's open war theater out there. But are we seriously going to withhold relations because of hacking? No, beef up your security and keep that from happening lol.

The only time relations should sour, is if it's an attack on our electrical grid, etc. But if you're as dumb as Podesta to click on a phishing link, I'm not about to bring America to war for that.

Imposing more sanctions did not bring the Russians to the table. The Russians aren't the Iranians. At this point, their view is "If America isn't a possible economic trading partner, we'll go elsewhere." And with the STUPIDITY of punishing our allies in the process, we just made the European-Russia reconciliation a point of national priority for them.

Apart from breaking US Law, it was a moment of strategic weakness. I'm worried about my country because lawmakers, average joes and the Ku Klux Klan are all coming together to bring her apart at the seams.

Everyone's playing their part to make us regress again.

 

I am deeply troubled by many of the items listed. A few were positive and helpful, but the vast majority were designed to take America backwards into the dark ages again.

 

You really ought to look into what happened in Ukraine and what continues to happen there. That is exactly what Putin did and is doing to us. Thankfully, we have more than just propaganda for news, and our media is telling the story the Ukrainians didn't get.

Yes and Trump's approval rating is historically low. So the next election will be a battle of the losers unless a third party arises.

The country is more liberal than ever and going even more so. Most of the country isn't actually conservative, they just don't vote, if they did, republicans would never win an election again. We all know this. So basically you can't be too shocked when culturally conservatism is easily swamped and bogged down by the Left.

The left runs the culture and has for a long time. While you may have political power, you have very little cultural power compared to the left. The left can just mow you down forever in the media and since you conservatives forfeited your positions in that mainstream media, you are no longer a part of the dominant culture as you have no way to reach it within your conservative media circles.

As long as the ones we send to Congress do what we pay them to do, and deny, denounce, obstruct, and delay and repeat. We can afford to chill. When they start equivocating, and even thinking of voting for any legislation that could give this man a victory, we have to turn on the hate.
