It's only a matter of time before the legal side reaches the NFL and the lawsuits start winning and winning big. When they do and they will, the payouts will bankrupt the NFL and end Football funding in all American Public Schools.

If parents want a football team or any other extra-curricular activities, they should pay for it. When I was going to school, if parents wanted their child to play in band, they had to buy the instrument and likewise for football and other sporting activities; the parents paid for the uniforms and the like. Even with school trips, the parents had to pay for them.

Leftists claim the purpose of public school is to help students fulfill their potential, prepare for a productive life, become well rounded, prepare for civic life, foster creativity, create a sense of belonging. Leftists even claim public school should "Teach the skills for passionate advocacy".

To leftists, we should all pay taxes for public schools even if we dont like the school and its failing to educate kids.

Unless it involves something that Leftists don't like, such as football which is far too rough and tough for the snowflakes. Then leftists want it banned.

Sporting competition in general is all about winning and losing, finding out who is the best, who has the most skill, and we all know that "progressives" can't allow that type of activity. All the snowflakes need a participation trophy or they might realize they are.....a snowflake.

This "ban football" or "why do tax payers have to pay for sports in school" or "its for the kids safety" is a red herring. The real issue is that the Leftists can't stand sports and want to get rid of them. Probably has something to do with Leftists being the last one picked, or getting beaned in the head in dodgeball.

 

How long were the NFL vet and the boxer dead, before their brain tissue was examined? I ask because the length of death and the time between death and tissue examination will give different results, so the images will remain suspect to me until sufficient information is supplied. I am by no means belittling the importance of study damage due to impact; I am only asking a serious logical question. Also, did the two subjects suffer from other causes of brain impact, besides their respective professional sports? Then the time period or era of hat the athletes also plays an important and key role in the study. Athletes from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s had different equipment and safety standards due to the respective eras in which they were active in their sporting fields. The development of athletic equipment has developed and changed over the decades. I mention these well documented facts, because it does matter when investigating such a serious matter. I am by no means an athlete and never have been; did I play some sports when I was younger? Yes I did but not as much as others. I was an occasional athlete, meaning that I was more interested in learning and cerebral activity, than physical activity, so my interest is at best, minimal.
