here are black men that i respect and wish would speak out more.

    Morgan Freeman on Don Lemon:

the whole interview is great but pay attention to 2:15-2:40 when Don lemon asks him about racism. Morgan Freeman says racism plays no part in success and doesn't even hesitate to say it, he then says racism is an excuse people use for 'not getting there'.

Morgan Freeman is an intelligent, thoughtful guy and this is a guy that African American's need as a leader, not the white hating, excuse making, racists who want a race war and try to brainwash people into believing we are an oppressive society, these people live in the past. In today's world, a black person can even become president! Morgan freeman speaks the truth and he is positive, he doesn't race bait, he doesn't incite racial tensions... THIS IS WHAT WE NEED. A new wave of positive thinking black people who don't pull out the racism card at every chance when facts show that any black person can even become president of this great Country and hold the most powerful office IN THE WORLD!

I agree. We'll exchange every white nationalist and supremacist for one Morgan Freeman.

white supremacists are the minority, they are irrelevant. The media makes it out to be like it's a big problem in today's society, FACTS IS IT IS NOT. The vast majority of white people are against racism and have come together to make sure that a black person can even be elected president!

Why not OJ Simpson? you sound like a black racist to me. The truth sometimes hurts, to realize that black people are their own worst enemy in today's society, not white people. HARD TRUTHS must be spoken though, it's the only way to make progress, i respect Morgan Freeman as it's not easy for him to speak these hard truths.

I said what I had to say, I'll pick my own and it truly doesn't matter what anyone thinks.

If Obama had his attitude we wouldn't be in the mess we're in right now. Imagine if he came out and told people, STOP BLAMING OTHERS all the time? Could be in a completely different country right now, OR the MSM would have torn him apart for being a traitor=)

How could Obama not use victimhood and identity politics? He could not even be a basic Democrat, let alone one of their leaders if he didn't point fingers at others outside his own group.

i actually supported Obama over Mccain and Romney and i think he, for the most part, avoided the racism issue but i think he should've been more like morgan freeman. Obama, at times, jumped the gun with some of the police incidents instead of saying what a president should've said - 'Wait for the facts, then let's assess the situation. Most cops are good, it is counterproductive to paint them with a broad brush but those who are racists should be punished severely." Something along these lines but he quietly seemed to side with those that rioted and did so before facts were known.

So if Romney had have said after a Black man assaulted a White man, "I I had a son, he'd look like..."

You'd not have branded him as a racist?

Morgan Freeman has gone full on bought and sold "muhrussia" in the LW "we are at war" silliness, so screw him. For black leaders, I'll go with "anything other than gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex hacks, crooks and leeches for $100, Bob," and ESPECIALLY not entertainment celebrities, which would be my answer for white leaders or any other color leaders as well. We've had enough "play pretend" fakes with way too much influence for 30 lifetimes in the last 50 years.

Freeman said this in the past. This is no longer a view tolerated in the Democratic Party.

I agree 100%. It is time we stop looking on people as being the color of their skin. The media continues to play up the race card, as if everything is race based. Morgan Freeman is absolutely right: race is now used regularly as an excuse not to succeed.

Why is it that we are continually being reminded that in 2016, police killed 258 black people nationwide, even as we fail to acknowledge the fact that this number is roughly a third of the number of black people killed in a single U.S. city at the hands of other black people? (Yes, the city being referred to here is Chicago, and the number of black people killed there in 2016 was 762). So racism is the main problem? Really? Sorry, but that makes no sense whatsoever...

You said Obama didn't come off as a racist to you----right???

Surely, you've heard of Barak's racist statement during the Trayvon Martin incident that, "If I had a son, he'd look like Tayvon."

Therefore, if Romney had said something in a similar vein in the countless instances where a Black man kills a White man, would you not have not cried "Racism!"

the media doesn't speak truths, they push an agenda... racism = ratings and also a way for the left to gain minority votes.

Not his fault. It was his to FIX! Do race relations appear BETTER now? Did they seem better during his 8 years? No. Not really. Care to guess why? Pandering. Instead of putting a stop to the victimhood, he JUMP STARTED IT. He had so many opportunities to shut people down. Shut up the idiots. Remove the Al Sharptons and other race hustlers from the equation. But guess what? His own wife, not even a day or two from inauguration went and said, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction." WTF??? Miss Ivy League college and all her success and only NOW she was really proud?? Screw that ****!!! Crap like THAT set the tone for the next 8 years. Missed opportunity. A big swing and miss, because only HE could fix it. A white guy can't do it. An old white woman can't do it either. A BLACK man finally had the opportunity, but he went in with a chip on his shoulder and an axe to grind. Started ******** all over cops at every opportunity. Yeah...real genius!!! how long was he in office when he called cops morons for doing absolutely nothing wrong and then had them over for a beer. A joke. And NOW we have Trump. Great!!

Yeah I would have tossed in Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Susan Rice, Maxine Waters, Shirley Jackson Lee, Elijah Cummings, Kamala Harris, Keith Ellison and most of the black caucus.
