There is no truth in blatant hypocrisy and hyperbole. The right is just as bad as the left.

Your post is just more evidence of how far this forum has slid in quality.

Well, you deplorables have been ranting about censorship and ascribing the discussion you are ascribing it to as the "left".

Sorry, but this has nothing to do with press censorship. It's about a systematic campaign by agents of a foreign government to influence the outcome of a Presidential election in favor of the candidate of another country's preference

And it's about whether social media companies have some responsibility to identify and police such efforts in the same manner that they look for kiddie porn, drug dealing and other crime.

I have noticed how the far right and the Trumpsters all either studiously avoid any thead that discusses Russian bots, Russian message placement on social media, and deny any attempts by the Russians to influence the last election. I also noted that right wingers studiouslly avoided the discussions around the death of fake news author Paul Horner.

I have also noticed over the last three years how often rigth wingers cited Russian based news sources, and parroted fake news stories.

Finally, I have noticed that the fake news sites that rigth wingers cited on this forum and all other sorts of social media throughout the 2016 campaign have largely disappeared, even as right winger here have defensively proclaimed that they were never influenced by them (even though lots of them reTweeted and shared them).

Does that mean that you then agree that the government is justified in standing up a liberally slanted ministry of truth?

Well, one certainly hopes you feel better about yourself this morning. So, we should never again here about you citing the Clinton financed Trump dosier? See, I doubt this could ever be a real expectation. Deeply embedded partisanship, nay, devotional even, are likely not to actually see the hypocrisy with which they write.

I'll tell you what. If you can demonstrate the cascading social impact of the something like $150K worth of advertising on Facebook, you'll be light years ahead of the rest of the MSM. You do realize that some of the Hillary Super PACs spent more than a half BILLION dollars in adds in a day? And you're complaining about the potential impact of 150K worth of facebook adds? Seriously?

But hunt your boogey man. It's at least fun to watch.

So, you're defending Russian attempts to pick the US President using social media, bots and the like?

Yes...these people are responsible for knowing who their advertisers really are and labeling them as such. Why do they think they're earning so much money? They need to use some of it as operation expenses to handle their position more responsibly.

Not sure that qualifies as "free" more like "dictation"... The "ministry of truth" model seems to be the goal here. That we are surprised by this seems more the problem.

That's right! They fool no one. That is why we The American Electorate stand for the Constitution, the whole thing; the First Amendment, and all the others; against the Speech Banners and the Book Burners!

Yes. And Macedonian Content Farmers. Everyone loved Hillary, she was going to win in a landslide and flip the Senate with her coat tails. They had the odds down to the decimal point with really sciency looking graphs and everything. And those DAMN Russians.... !

    Yes, those darn Russians.

It isn't about the last election, even though that's where the campaign was focused.

It's about the next one, and the ones after that.

When you have a sitting President who denies the consensus of his own intelligence community (and intelligence agencies all over the world), attacks them, and makes no attempt whatsoever to even acknowlegde, must less deal with this issue, you have a real problem.

That is the obvious reason for the unmasking. Trump denial. Trump refusing to attend his own intelligence briefings. Trump and his team's deliberate omissions of meetings with Russians from their security clearance documents. All of this added up to almost certain attempt at cover up.

The Russians have run a campaign to undermine the integrity of the entire American political process.

Their weapon of choice was social media and it's entree to hyperpartisan media. At first, that focus was bipartisan. But when Bernie Sanders did not get the nomination, they went all in for Trump, whose campaign, as we know, had been meeting with Russian operatives for months.

Right wingers and their media proved to be enthusiastic useful idiots.

Nope first I don't think they happened to enough of an extent to matter and second bots are still pretty damn obvious if you have a functioning brain, and third as long as it is the WWW I don't think you can effectively ban people regardless of nationality just because they push ideologies you don't like.

    Shot and deported? Really?
The best thing would be stop watching their games.
These low-IQ guys have already "shot" themselves, they are already finished, they committed professional suicide, nobody will watch their games any more.
