Why Is Hate Speech Against Whites Tolerated?

So much gross generalization in this OP, its hard to know where to start. Its hard to see how promoting stereotypes between racial groups under the guise of 'cultural differences', is going to help us all to 'get along'. I don't know what the OP wanted to create in the way of a dialogue, but this turned into a recipe for flame bait.

Michelle’s recent comments. Mostly a media blackout. Haven’t heard late night shows tearing her a new one. Haven’t heard it in NPR. Nothing in the local papers.

 

A factor that relates to this is that of fads- in the same way that wearing your pants so low your butt wasn't in them became popular, that tattooing the only body you will ever own into a a billboard of meaningless graffiti- despite the fact these things are illogical, despite the fact they haven't been logically thought out, because people get caught up in the trend and think being part of it will make them trendy too. It's also known as mob mentality under the right circumstances. Herd effect.

Bad form- juvenile, irresponsible, and potentially dangerous. Always despicable to people of good character regardless of color.

Lincoln was a fool to let blacks vote directly after freeing them while disenfranchising Southern white men. The wisest solution would have been to free the blacks to Africa.

This is from the Vietnam era but I don't think much has changed. Some one at a graduate level history party told me when he learned I was a veteran "You don't belong here, you fascist. We'll get rid of you." After I earned a MA with thesis and nine hours toward a PHD in four semesters, a job counselor told me I should hide my veteran status if I wanted a good job.
Last month, a UNL sophomore manned a table as she tried to recruit members for a conservative organization. At least one professor and some grad students called her a fascist and other names including Becky which must have been a racial slur. /Someone captured the tirade on a phone which shows some of the drama. Look up Katlyn Mullen.

 

The professor was reassigned, but later some of her sympathizers demonstrated in her defense.
