pizza gate is real folks, very real. the chips are falling - may the scum of hollywood be brought to task.
I'm being a bit tongue-in-cheek. I don't actually want the terroristic and destruction fueled approach that insurrectionist communist types advocate for. Nihilist communists are a pretty fringe-among-fringe group that essentially don't bother with envisioning a future and are concerned with the idea that the reality of capitalism is so unbearable that immediate personal warfare against the system through petty crime and squats and whatnot is the only way to make life bearable. They don't really care if they win or not. But I do genuinely critique the culture industry from a left-wing perspective. Hollywood and similar apparatuses want to preserve the status quo and extract cash above all else. They will appropriate struggles after they become accepted by the mainstream so they can get the progressive dollar too, but ultimately they only worship cash. I'm a communist that cares very deeply about democracy, society, and actual human connections. I want a communism based on community, instead of faceless bureaucracy or molotov-lobbing amphetamine binges.
"Imagine if? "In its report, the committee of the European Parliament stated categorically that the Echelon network was being used to intercept not only military communications, but also private and business ones. In its epigraph to the report, the parliamentary committee quoted Juvenal, "Sed quis custodiet ipsos custodes." ("But who will watch the watchers").[7] James Bamford, in The Guardian in May 2001, warned that if Echelon were to continue unchecked, it could become a "cyber secret police, without courts, juries, or the right to a defence".[56]" Wiki
You'd be labeled a Normal Man! Of course that's probably going to make some cry...but it is what it is.
Remember when trump was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women? Fake news! Now a lib has been accused of sexual harassment by one person and conservatives take the accusation at face value.
I'm no fan of Affleck's, and being a strong Muslim sympathizer maybe he thought it was ok to behave like one. But I'd like to know how many of these women, in this case along with Weinsteins's, have knowingly sold their souls for fame and riches but now have regrets for what they did voluntarily? From what I've read, most of these women had a chance to kick them in the nuts when it happened but didn't only to complain about it later. If they tolerated this behavior in order to get a career going then it was an even trade. If their moral compasses said it was wrong, then why did they do it anyway and why did they wait before telling?
I agree with Donna Karan. In many respects, what they call "harassment" is just the fruit of seduction. You can't dress to entice and seduce, and then condemn men for being men and taking the initiative. Otherwise, we should also have laws punishing the craft of seduction. No I'm not for Burkas, stonings and rape. I'm for moderation, modesty and mercy.
Context and the parties matter, but plenty of the conservatives here are reluctant to accept that Ben's a scumbag.
https://twitter.com/BenAffleck/status/918166049501208576 Turns out he (indirectly) apologized for it.
Yes, we all make mistakes. It's much different however if a spotlight is upon you. And I meant no disrespect. Maybe "imagine if" was not the correct words, but it's not like what I said doesn't happen either. While it does seem absolutely ridiculous, it is the peoples fault. For they're the ones purchasing such products, and accepting privacy notices that are in direct contradiction of the constitution, in order to have and use such tech.
I'm a conservative and I always thought Affleck didn't need to grope anyone to be a scumbag, he just is.
I saw him in the movie Argo and he wasn't too bad. I saw him once one the O"Reilly Factor and he came across as a nut job, a far out liberal.
