as you see airborne transmission with the
    plague
is VERY rare but this one is starting to act differently, somethings odd

This is a couple of weeks old T... I think they have it under control now, but yes the scary part is that it can and has turned airborne. It is treatable with antibiotics though.

This could be very bad in the modern world of easy/fast transportation.

Can I suggest you stop using trashy tabloids as a source of information on important things (or preferably, anything)? The deliberately spin this kind of thing out to much more than it is because fear and panic sells.

Madagascar has plague outbreaks every year and while it has been significantly worse this year for a couple of reasons, it's understood, being monitored and generally under control.

If it was it must have been hundreds of years ago. Ignorance like that is exactly why you shouldn't be getting your information from tabloids.

More likely this is a natural mutation as all signs indicate this is the case,
The timeframe (duration of continued outbreak).
    Population centers (proximity of carriers).
    And the second/third world conditions.

There's a reason on the game pandemic, I always pick Madagascar as the starting country to infect.

If it would have stayed non-fatal for a longer period of time and stayed out of the eye of the WHO, it could have been a nasty one. However this one is already documented and I guarantee you people are already working on a "hot patch" for it.

It kills to fast to be effective, it's reproductive rate isn't high enough to cause widespread damage to the world.

No telling what the CDC has regarding biological warfare. I'd wager we couldn't even begin to imagine.
