2) Sorry, but while I think DACA needs a fair resolution and the we need immigration reform, I also believe we need to enforce our own laws. No illegal immigrant has a right to live and work in the United States. Sanctuary cities should be illegal. You are correct, illlegals are still human beings and need to be treated as such, but deporting illegals isn't treating them "as trash". ICE agents are Federal agents. Just like ATF agents which you want to go around confiscating guns are Federal agents. Fix the law, don't blame any American federal employee for doing their job.

 

Everyone believes in legal immigration. No one believes in "open borders" despite it being a catch phrase. If they came here illegally and are being good citizens then we should help them get through the process of being legal.

And in many cases these are legal American citizens of hispanic descent

There was one case in florida several years ago where a chinese couple had as many as 20 illegal aliens living and working in their restaurant

The chinese couple were here legally thanks to the 1986 amensty and jumped bail fled to china after they were caught

But put yourself in the place of an American restaurant ower across the street who is going out of business because he does not hire illegals and his prices are much higher than the competition

Its not his responsibility to seal the border and prevent illegals from coming here but he has to suffer because of them

Exactly. I've hired hundreds, if not thousands of employees over 35 years in business. I've unknowingly hired dozens of illegal aliens. Every employee was checked as thoroughly as the information available at the time required.

Employers are not ICE agents. Also, there are numerous laws and regulations regarding discrimination based on language and other factors that keep employers from exercising discretion when things don't appear right.

Blaming employers across the board is a total cop out.

 

That's nonsense. The majority of companies know EXACTLY who they are hiring. "a criminal comes into a work place to work, via fraud" I think you've watched to many movies. How does it work? The "criminal" swims across a river or crosses a desert and somehow knows where to get a new ID and can pay for that. There is apparently a whole criminal network out there to do this? Is it possible that a business would provide the fake identity to keep themselves covered?
