Because they are from destitute shithole countries and even a low wage US job is better than what they have back home. The problem comes in when American workers, who won’t be willing to work for peanuts, now need to compete with these people for jobs.

 

Who are these people they need to compete with? Do Americans pick our crops?

They used to, and there’s no reason they can’t do it again. That’s certainly not an argument to keep illegal labor here which pays no tax revenue, is it? Lots of young high school and college students could do this part time to make money.
