Do you notice how today's Democrats never chant "USA ! USA ! USA !" ?

That chant was always used in sporting events by all who attend to support their country's athletes.
Now it is used at political events to support a wannabe autocrat's agenda. Sounds humorous to me. It is not the icons that are tearing us apart, but the attitude, verbiage, and actions by our President and many of his followers that are tearing us apart. Just read the bigoted posts on this site. Racism is more open and vicious since Trump took office. He is the most divisive president that our country has ever had.

 

In 2016 polls said toward the end of the Obama admin that 70% of the public thought the country was going in the wrong direction.

So, that is why people thought the country wasn't so great, since it was heading in the wrong direction. Much as the country felt toward the end of Carters presidency.

If that is what the alt right believes is representative of America then they really don't have a clue about the principles that this nation was founded upon and what it is all about.
